We very rarely eat out, perhaps a couple of times on holiday, or an occasional nip to the local 'workman's café' or French equivalent when food stocks have got depleted to the point of one potato and half a tin of pilchards. This was to be a special occasion, a family treat. It was somewhat less than we had anticipated.... More

We decided to treat ourselves to a special evening for ourselves. So we booked into Maison de la Blanquette. I'm not a great one for very late nights, so we were the first diners into the restaurant that night. My dining companion was touched and impressed that the hard earned progress in speaking French made over the years was noted.... More

This was the first time I have eaten here. The food / service was absolutely amazing though. The set menu was really good value. Would recommend sitting on the roof terrace, so cool and chilled out. 5 stars all round :)

This is the best restaurant in Limoux! I had a lovely meal with some of my family here, and as always, the service and food was excellent. Nothing is too much trouble, the food arrives looking like a work of strand the taste does not disappoint. Thoroughly recommend this for any occasion.

3rd time I have been, and certainly the best yet. The set menu for 16 euros is excellent value, and the food is really nicely presented, and tastes even better. I would thoroughly recommend the duck, which was perfectly cooked. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Would definetly recommend it.

With the warm welcome, the friendly service and the very good food, you will enjoy dinner here. We recently purchased a house in this area and have been back to this restaurant several times over the last couple of months. A very nice selection of courses on the well priced menus that includes a glass of blanquette. The dishes are... More

This restaurant used to be excellent for Sunday lunch. Unfortunately as it has changed hands through the years it hasn't been able to pull itself back again.

We have had lunch here 5 times over the past couple of months and each time have come away very satisfied. The set price menu at lunch time is excellent value at 19 euros including a glass of blanquette to start and a 1/4 of local wine. The welcome is warm and they clearly have some trainee staff which shows... More

A sloppily-attired redhead in jeans, acting the part of hostess-server, was nonchalant to the point of absurdity. Her sing-song voice was a contrived annoyance; her disinterest in non-local customers, obvious. Clearly she understands English, but acted otherwise; for that and other reasons we've awarded her the Rudest Server We've Ever Encountered in a French Restaurant Award. More: the wine tasting,...
