We enjoyed the food here - the monkfish tails were especially good. A shame we were the only people in the restaurant - we put it down to the absence of pushy waiting staff hanging around the door, trying to pull you inside - definitely a plus! Consequently we chose the best table - by the window. Great view of... More

Just had a fantastic 15 day holiday in golf del sur and los abrigos is one of our favourite places. Came to tenerife last year and discovered the cave by chance. Hosts very friendly, setting the best, with sea views, listening to the waves whilst eating. This holiday we visited the cave three times. And also visited their stall at... More

We ate at the cave one week ago today after looking at the picture outside the restaurant (as you wouldnt think it would be that nice from the outside). Anyway the food was fantastic (I had monkfish tails which I loved) and the view of the sea is exceptional. We didn't know about the cave until a nice lady who... More

I visited this small fishing Village with a Lady who was kind enough to tell me about this hidden Gem :) From the outside it looks like your average small restaurant ? My lady friend insisted for me to have a look inside ! It was early in the day and we popped our heads inside thinking and shouted Hello... More

I have been to La Cueva twice now and the problem is the quality of the food does not cut it. The restaurant is nicely set up with a lovely view and good service. The menu is very appealing but the chef needs shooting. There is a repartition in the reviews of the restaurant saying the same thing so give... More

La Cueva is situated in a fantastic spot and the menu looks just great. The waitresses are pleasant and slightly formal, which hightened our expectations even further. However, we were a bit disappointed by the quality of the food that was served. In one word: plain. Also too much 'microwave-pinging' going on, which probably explains the lack of structure and... We visited whilst staying at 'Sandos', this is the one of the first buildings you walk past when turning right off of the coastal path into Los Abrigos. We ordered the lamb shoulder (24 hrs in advance for this dish) and it was absolutely superb, our son had a steak, which was cooked perfectly. This restaurant does not look anything... More

Went over to Tenerife for st Patrick's week. We were staying in las Americas and went over to Los abrigos for an evening. As we know the part owner Rossa and his wife Anna from living in Ireland we decided to visit their restaurant one of the evenings. We ordered the mussels to start with as we have never tried... We were treated to dinner just around the corner from our apartment in Los Abrigos by family who wanted to say thanks for having them here. What a wonderful place, the staff were very attentive, the food was fabulous and we even discovered the cave under the main dining area where we are now planning our next birthday party.

Passed by by accident, but the menu looked interesting, and we were never disappoined. Very good, very good service, and very nice atmosphere. This restaurant deserves to be ranked amongst the best in town.
