Lovely restaurant very close to Fenix resort. A large area of tables overlook the beach which is very relaxing. Food is terrific, service good and good selection of wines.

Thai friends were showing us around the island and we stopped here for lunch. Now I really enjoy spicy food but my wife is not so keen. Well we both got what we wanted. The selection is large and the menus have English translations. As we were with our friends they ordered and amongst our order we tried, crab, prawns(ridiculous... More

Sabeinglae was originally recommended to our group for lunch by our driver while on a tour. Considering the nature of the weather that day, we were looking forward to a having a relax enjoying the beauty of the island with a cold beer in hand (not to mention a few watermelon smoothies on the side!). We shocked at the size... More

After a few drinks at the nearby Rock Bar, we walked over to Sabeinglae for dinner. We heard about this restaurant from our Groovy Map, which said it was popular with the locals, so we had to check it out. The food was fresh and delicious! The menu has many options, and we eventually settled on tom yum soup, prawns... More

Sabeinglae, Sabianglay, Sabienglae, it all points to this somewhat local restaurant about 10 kn south of Chaweng on the seafront. A nice place to eat Thai food, especially seafood and not so overpriced as in the more flashy restaurants. The quality and variety of the food is good and the service friendly and efficient.

I went for a quick look to see what their menu entailed, and was not ecstatic about it. After asking the hotel what they recommended for Thai food, and they suggested Sabeinglae, we decided to give it another try. You are greeted with a wall of tanks with live lobsters and crabs. All of which looked quite good. The menu... More

An attractive spot to eat on a sheltered cove. Rocky headland, sandy beach, waves lapping at the foot of the restaurant. It was a quiet lunch we were there. Food was fresh, large meals, generous with meat servings. Watermelon juice hit the spot. Waitstaff hovered in the background but were unobtrusive.

We arrived around 3pm and easily got a table on the ocean with a great view. We really don't understand how this restaurant received such good reviews. The service was such a disappointment, the staff appeared uninterested and annoyed with having to serve not just us but as we observed with other patrons as well. They were more interested in...
