Very nice fish restaurant

A good place to eat fish in Playa Santiago, and also good value for money. We prefer Junina or Don Tomate, but this place is OK as well. The lady that owns the place doesn't seem to enjoy herself running the restaurant, but the younger couple is very friendly.

We arrived at the restaurant without having made a reservation, The lady proprietor informed us that there were no tables available inside, only outside in front of the restaurant, Rather than taking us outside and showing us the table, she waved in the general direction of the outside of the restaurant and expected us to decide on what table was... we had been slightly disappointed with our visit to this restaurant two years ago but decided to give it another try. Wish we hadn't!!!! The greeting was lukewarm and the service more or less went downhill from there. The senior lady showed no interest in us and presented the bill with an ill grace. The food was also disappointing -... More

Returned here after a few years and found that not much has changed. The restaurant is set in a cave which is quite unique in itself and the food is not cheap. However the lady in charge has little personality and no sense of humour which doesn't lend anything to the ambience. The food is OK without being outstanding. Rumour... More

The menu offered an excellent choice. The food was excellent and so was the service. This is a very popular restaurant and booking would probably be a good idea.

Expected good things from other reviews. Wins my worst restaurant reward for those in small fishing villages. From the start the lady M'd was totally unfriendly, impatient and, frankly, not up to the job. Service of the fish dish for two was halted mid serving and she vanished never to be heard from again. Fish was tough, dry and very... More

If you like seafood then this is the place for you. Everything fresh and well cooked. Make sure that you make a reservation if you want to go at weekend. Friendly and helpful staff. Not to be missed if you want a change from hotel food. Well worth a visit.

As with Junonia, lunched there twice during the first week of February and as with Junonia enjoyed the experience on both occasions. Ordered and enjoyed local tapas on both occasions - over ordered the first time (wrongly expecting small portions); good, friendly service in an unusual but nice setting.

Waitress surly and indifferent. Food NOT as described on the menu........fish certainly not filleted, and in no way fresh....fresh from the freezer more like, and tasteless to boot. Far better places to eat in this little village.
