We visited La Cuevita several times. Friendly welcoming service. The fish of the day, often vieja, was superb - as was the sweet of the day, often tiramisu. We aso enjoyed the prawns and langoustines.

Friendly staff and good value, not haute cuisine but competent cooking in a unique setting. Outside tables very close to the road.

This restaurant is in a great location and very atmospheric, basically built into a cave. It gets very busy so it is well worth booking. We went on the strength of the reviews on trip advisor and were disappointed with our food. The starters were lovely - I had the local watercress soup and my husband had grilled octopus. Both... Fresh, well cooked fish and a pleasant atmosphere. First ate here some six years ago and much improved. Four adults and one six-year-old had a lovely meal...

Best food was the bread with two dips. Garlic chicken definitely not fresh -tasted like it had been cooked some time ago and reheated in oil to which garlic had been added - the whole lot overlooked and the chicken tough. Meat and vegetable stew comprised large chunks of tough meat (no idea what the meat was) sitting in a... More

We ate here 2 nights during our week on the island. The first night we had paella (pre-order). It was seafood paella and it was delicious. We also had local Gomeran white wine which was good. The second night we returned was a Monday when a few of the restaurants competitors close so needless to say they were busy but... More

The fish restaurant in the cave used to excel, but in our experience this January it missed the mark. ‘Grilled’ sole was dripping in oil, and it seemed to have been used to cook other fish beforehand. Otherwise, the food, service and outdoor seating were all very good.

Its an attractive place built into a cave on the waterside. The menu is fish orientated We were there in late January 2014 - the meal was ok but we did not go again having found better places in Playa de Santiago. Its difficult to say more - nothing to object to but not one where you immediately think lets... More

Eating in this cave was amazing. The food was very good especially the watercress soup, I tried this in a few other restaurants and La Cuevita's was the best. It is close to the road if you sit outside but it wasn't busy when we were there so not a problem and anyway sitting inside is a great experience.

La Cuevita is a charming, family run restaurant built in a cave as its name suggests. It overlooks the harvour and has some outside seating but rather close to the street and traffic can be a little annoying. The restaurant offers an extensive menu with mostly Canarian cuisine and a good wine list but unfortunately, there are only very few... More
