Reminiscent of Padstow fish fiesta.

Tuna mojo speciality was excellent as was seafood soup. Tiramisu beuna also. At least the boatyard had proper trawlers in it. Cave interior was cool and atmosphericos.

Eating in a busy restaurant built into a cave sounds good and it started OK with warm bread and spicy dips. It went downhill fast To get any attention we had to collect our dirty plates. The waitress had a sour look and never smiled. The fish (mackerel) was grossly overcooked to the point of being dry. The other dishes... More

Can't say La Gomera is in any way full of restaurant, and few are the restaurants open till late (11pm...sic!) in the evening. So it happened that we labelled La Cuevita as the best restaurant on the island and it's the only one we returned to twice, despite a long and winding 1 hour route from our apartment. They serve... I've just finished eating in this restaurant in Playa de Santyago in La Gomera. We've chosen it because it looked nice. It's our third night in la Gomera and we've eaten in two other restaurants. Here the service is bad, slow and without any care! We waited more than 1 hour for our only dish and then no one asked... More

We visited La Cuevita last year and noticed how unwelcoming and miserable the lady owner looked. Ok we thought - it may be a one off and she's had a bad day! Unfortunately she was exactly the same this year. No welcome - no smile. Quite frankly I don't think she is bothered if you are there or not. I... More

This unusual restaurant is built in a cave just next to the church which is also built in a cave. You can also sit outside with views to the harbour. There is always a good selection of fresh fish on offer. The atmosphere is really nice. All our food was delicious and big portions. Good value for money. The service... More

Close to the harbour and built into a cave this slightly up market venue offers a wide range of international and local dishes. Very good service and beautifully served well cooked dishes make this a must to visit during your stay on La Gomera

We have never been dissapointed here, always enjoyed our meals and the service is good. Try the Chopitos (baby squid) deep fried in light batter...delicious. The fish is fresh and cooked to order. Book as it gets busy.

We had a lovely meal here on the last evening of our stay in Playa de Santiago. The young waiter was very friendly and helpful, letting us see the fish prior to preparation. We sat in the cave as it was cool outside. The fish was beautifully cooked and presented, following good starters of melon with ham and one of... More

The young couple running the restaurant were friendly and welcoming, the grande dame was seated at a table and not dealing with customers - thankfully! The food was nicely presented and well cooked. The view from the restaurant is limited by the boatyard opposite.
