Tender meat!

The host is a person who knows how to make you feel at home and the food is value for many! 30 Euros is what we paid for two persons -an excellent salad included, two main meat-dishes half a litre of wine and two portions of Greek tsipouro. Music was perfect but I should say that the only downside... read more

Finikas is a good choice for nice view and well cooked food! If you are in Skopelos Town, you should visit it!

The place to be. good mezes and small dishes. Open for the first time this year. The place is not that big but with the local Greeks inside it's very pleasant to be there. If you want to eat a big bite ask Lambros and he is making you a very good meal.

Firstly the earlier reviews of Finikas referring to the excellent views of the town should be disregarded as these refer to when the restaurant was located off the "Beach Road" a little past the Aeolis Hotel. Finikas has relocated since July 2014 to the centre of town now occupying what was the former OTE Building (telephone office). The date of... More

The welcome we received from Lambros was wonderful! We popped in to see him late one night and had a drink with him. A few days later we went for lunch. The food was all freshly prepared and as tasty just as it always was at the old venue. My daughter and I had a Greek salad, potatoes and tzatziki... More

A place for a bit more than a snack and a bit less than a full meal. The card is not large, but what's on it is good and tasty.

Lambros the owner is a prince. He plied us with homemade Tsiporo from his hometown and fed us until we couldn't walk or talk. The spot itself is simple and unadorned - don't go for the view - they've moved - but one of the most fun ouzerias you can find in Greece (I say having been in the country... More

I have been to many of the Greek islands and also to Stoupa on the mainland, (where Zorba the Greek was filmed). I absolutely adored Stoupa and also Kefalonia and thought that they could not be bettered. However, Skopelos just blew me away. It is truly heavenly with a remarkable air of tranquillity and natural beauty. Finikas is the perfect... More

Seeing some of the reviews here you just want to hand out a little card saying this is Greece..relax. Most tavernas on the island are family run and Lambros and his family live here, unlike some of the ones on the harbour where they just turn up for the summer, he is also good cook. Running a small taverna here... More
