Good for Tunisian standards, albeit a little expensive

On the little bit expensive side for Tunisian dining, the food was okay but not amazing. I dined here on a very quiet night - NYE - there were only four tables with diners on them upstairs. Service was attentive. 4 great kimea (free nibble starters) The brik fruits de mer - the egg was a... read more

Service was very good. we had shimps, salade mechouia, fish, fish soup and shrimp salad all ended with a sherbert. Everything was excellent. Although the place we were at was non smokimg there was a table where some guys were drinking and smoking.

Lovely restaurant with authentic Tunisian food frequented by both tourists and locals. Had a fish soup, Tunisian fish dish, brik (Tunisian fried, filled pancake), salad and steak- all of which were delicious and cooked perfectly. They serve alcohol. Everything is priced reasonably, with service we paid about 60dn (2 people and a bottle of wine). Service was friendly and efficient-... More

Such nice dinner, lovely waiters, and wonderfully fresh seafood. Also good wine selection. Not touristy at all, filled with many locals, who say its their favourite restaurant in town.

We can especially recommend their fresh fish dishes. If you get "fed up" with Tunisian food, you can go there to have a well prepared steak with quality french fries. The atmosphere was authentic and the staff were service minded and english/german speaking. As abnormal in Djerba the menu was available in english. Among locals the restaurant is called "Al... This is in the heart of Houmt Souk, the main shopping area of Jerba. The food is good, the price is very modest and beer and wine is served. Service was very slow on my last several visits, so if you need to meet up with a group and or a bus, taxi or flight to catch...be forewarned that the... More
