experiment with food is a great thing, great local products very fine , but putting them togehther was unfortunately for my palate a poor experience , and it is a pitty since each of them bt themself where squisit. so it is a question of taste ,for some people can be great and for some a waste of money as... "Slow food" - they deserve it. The people running the restaurant want to preserve the culture of sicilian cuisine. Their menu, at a first sight very short, but on the other hand frequently changing, offers an interesting choice of tastes and flavours of the island. Being it a stunning caponata, flavoury home-made pasta with fish, tomato, olive oil, or mouthwatering... More

Everthing about this restaurant and the service and the hospitality is out standing! From the moment my friends and I sat down for our first night's meal to our last drink the night before leaving, was enjoyable, memorable, satisfying, and perfect!!!! My friends just about inhaled their seafood dishes, with delight and in anticipation of what was going to be... More

Spectacular setting with breathtaking views! The service was exceptional. Warm, friendly, attentive staff. The food was beautifully presented, and delicious. Fresh, local produce - and you can certainly taste the difference! Stunning. Excellent selection of wines. So good, I did not want to leave. Grazie to all!

I had the most amazing experience in this Resturant. It was a Sunday n they are normally closed but despite that they ran a service for my family when we showed up n open the Resturant for us. The introduction was very professional. The Resturant is run by a group of foodies who have proper day jobs but it is... More

(For fans of John Cleese...the duck was off.). Seriously, this was a delightful experience. Certainly off the beaten track, and the last 200 metres should be driven carefully. I won't repeat the comments made by other reviewers, except to agree fully! Our hosts had a great approach to food, we enjoyed the whole evening. My only small criticism was that... More

Lovely atmosphere, traditional food, views are spectacular; the people are kind, warm, understanding and great ambassadors for their country. We were lucky enough to have had this restaurant recommended to us, at an early stage in our holidays and were able to use the tourist’s information that the owners had given us for our holiday. It’s been an evening full... More

We came across Disio Hosteria purely by chance. Our hotel nearby was hosting a wedding so they sent us up to Disio Hosteria. This place is off the beaten track but it is fabulous. Run by five friends - all with day jobs (the maitre d' is a seismologist!) - the philosophy is all about slow food and local ingredients.... More
