We were greeted by a rude, unhelpful, abrasive hostess. Well, I wouldn't say greeted. She avoided eye contact, rushed by multiple times, and pretended we weren't there. I started to think I may be walking out of this place but because everyone had great things to say our group decided to order a drink, relax, and explore the house. The... More

We've come here many times for dinner and it is a truly unique place. The mix of old and new architecture, a truly spectacular wine list, great service and and many of the typical Piemontese dishes with a modern twist, make le case della Saracca one of the 'must do places' in the area. Your host Guilio is very thoughtful... More

Staying at Montforte in the beautiful Villa Beccaris, we were tempted not to leave it. But it’s very quiet there. So for some night life , we walked down hill for 200 meters to Le Case della Saracca, a beautifully restored old building, now operating as an enoteca and casual restaurant (and it has six accommodation rooms). It’s a great... More

We popped for a drink on the way down from our hotel to a restaurant lower in the town. A good selection of wines by the glass & advice on choice from the owner. The bar was covered in plates of nibbles - olives cheese meats etc to which you help yourself for free rather like Tapas of old. Loved... More

Loved the "vibe" of this place. We started with aperitivo and moved to a table in the very creatively renovated restaurant space. We loved the little "nibbles" placed on the bar for aperitivo time. The rabbit with peppers and vegetable lasagna for our main dishes were delicious, the peppers were incredibly flavorful. Service staff was friendly and accommodating.

Lovely spot to hang out and enjoy fantastic wines, if your into architecture, they've done a lovely job on the structure really interesting. I had the best ever rabbit dish here.

Cool place but the food is not worth the trouble of going. Considering this is an area where the food is very good, was I the owner I would make an effort to improve the quality.

Very cool place, especially during aperitif time since drinks and snacks are great! Ask 4 a wine suggestion, they are very good with that. While I don't suggest to done there... Expensive and on average.

Ancient building, apparently a part is older than 1000 years, rebuild into a modern restaurant. Either you love this, or you hate it. We loved it. Very good traditional and regional food, and an excellent choice of wine. Limited space available, and popular, so making a reservation is advisable.

Food was pretty average and service was less than average. Ambiance left something to be desired, even though it's pretty cool that you're eating in an old castle. Our experience with Julio and with our actual hotel stay there was wonderful, but the quality of the food was pretty disappointing.
