Consistently great tasting food. Every item on the menu is mouth watering, especially the curry fish - this is my favourite. A relaxing ambience dinning in the tree (restaurant incorporate into an almond tree - interesting concept), friendly staff, the sound of the waves and the gentle sea breezes makes for a perfect spot to enjoy a sumptuous meal... After hearing so many great reports on Jemma's kitchen we decided to book a dinner reservation. Our booking was taken and confirmed. We made the treacherous journey from Bacolet to Speyside. Upon arrival (hungry and thankful to be alive) we found that the restaurant was closed for independence day. If the restaurant was going to be closed why accept the... More

There is the sound of the beach in your ear and the beautiful ocean to look at while you dine. The food is great all of the local dishes including "callaloo" . You may choose to dine downstairs on the beach floor which is nicely covered so no sand in your feet or dine upstairs in the tree truly beautiful... More

Food always taste great and well cooked, Nice vegetarian options and price is good. Always drive to Speyside to have lunch here when I am in Tobago. My only con will be the wait time for the food.

We visited Jemmas after hearing several recommendations from friends. Jemma's has an excellent seaside location as the name would suggest and the sea breeze which blows in to the restaurant is quite lovely. Unfortunately the service was terrible. We arrived at 1230 pm and were seated promptly thereafter it appears that the staff forgot about us as Jemma's was quite... More

I don't normally write reviews, however, it is necessary that both tourists and locals alike have a singular point of view from someone who grew up on the island and spent 16 years through primary and secondary education here on Tobago. In the early 80's my parents would take us up to Charlotteville during the summer vacation for a weekend... More

I've read the negative reviews, but our experience was wonderful. We were there around 2pm on a Monday and we were waited on immediately and our food followed quite quickly. The breadfruit pie is their specialty and it was yummy. Our group was very pleased with their food selections and the sides. The view is what you think of for... More

We had heard so much about Jemma's and decided to visit. Was very excited to go there especially when u arrived and saw the lovely treehouse over looking the ocean however it stops there. The tea was the best thing I had there. The food option was limited and quite pricey. I ordered the creole shrimp and I can tell... More

We came here for lunch and the waitress is polite and courteous. There's only few options for specialty lunch menu and several options to choose for drinks (cocktails) I guess they want you to stay and spend more time drinking. Anyway the food isn't that great with less spices than I expect in our order of chicken sauté and vegetables.... More
