The restaurant has a tendency to modernising a few dishes but in substance there is no compromise in quality. Small "Crostini toscani ", Fiorentina for 3, fried mushrooms, beens, fried vegetables, 2 bottles of excellent wine, 3 coffees, cheese platter for 3, complimentary digestive & dessert platter, for a total of 142 €

we came in pretty late for lunch, but that was no problem, neither was it to have a baby with us. wonderful meal, the dishes i remember most were the duck pate with truffle, the sea food tortelli and the tongue... the owner is a good host, not shy with his sometimes strong advices, but he clearly knows what he's... We were lucky enough to visit this restaurant and the food was delicious . Antipasti was full of flavour and set my taste buds alive . The puddings were out of this world ! Practically perfect in every way .

It is a simple village restaurant located by the road. Frozen products are mostly used. No flexibility - only what is written in the menu can be served and only in the specified manner. Glasses were not clean. Food was eatable but far from being delicious. Not a place for special visit.

This restaurant was recommended by the owner of the villa we were staying at. It was close by, so we gave it a try. It was one of the best meals we had in Italy. The chef prepared meals for my wife and daughter that had no milk/cheese products. The antipasta as fanastic and artistically presented. We all went for... More

We asked the owner Eduardo to make a choice for us. We had a great starter of 6 different bites, which were very special. After that we had several pasta's. All fresh and very tasty. And also the wine, advised by Eduardo, was very special.

We let the proprietor recommend local dishes for us and had a go at various things we'd never have chosen if left to our own devices - rabbit for instance - and everything was excellent. If I understood correctly his wife was in the kitchen and is a pastry chef and it showed. One of those meals of which you... More

We were staying in pistoia and arrived tired and hungry to our b&b. when we asked where the owners would go eat if they were dining out, they said Da Marino, a family run institution in the area. What a find!! Seems a bit off the beaten path if you are traveling by highway only, but if you navigate the... More

Congratulations to this great Italian restaurant where it's possible to taste the typical tuscan food with a personal and creative interpretation by a great chef. The service is excellent too, with the owner always present (without being intrusive) and available to suggest you the best combination of wine and food. The mix of ingredients of the food is perfectly calibrated,... More

We were staying in Montecatini and heading back to Florence the next day. Da Marino was an amazing find. It's a family run trattatoria with incredibly delicious food. My husband and I are 'foodies', and we know our food (it's a bit of an obsession). The restaurant is a little off the beaten track, via Provinciale Lucchese 102 between Montecatini... More
