Utterly beautiful and great food.

Castara is so stunning that I met a girl named after it. You should go there at least once a holiday and Sharon's Boat House is the best place to eat and Lime. (That's to chill, big time) She's a great host and everything just falls into place. So relaxing you go horizontal, Mon!

Come & relax for the day. Leave your gear on the terrace. Go for some great snorkelling - where you might possibly see the odd turtle (we did 2 days running). Come back, hose off & have some lovely lunch. Then, when you've done all of that, wander into the shorebreak & watch the stingrays glide around you. Not many... More

Went twice to the boathouse, looked after both times by the irrepressible Sharon. Absolutely magic small ate end of Catara Beach, only reached by walking up the steep road at the back of Castara and then down, or across the headland steps Athens upper end of the BlueMango Road. Clientele very European, and usually quite full. Good service. We went... More

We had a takeout order of their Shrimp with coconut milk and chilli (also available with squid) - 60tt with sides, 40tt with no sides. It was excellent! As best I can determine the sauce consists of coconut milk as a base, with onion, garlic, ginger, lemongrass, and of course fresh chillies. It can be ordered mild, medium, or hot.... More

Great place right on the beach, that has a Steel Band (Steel Band was EXCELLENT!!!) night w Limbo contest, and DJ music later..... and another music night ...but they should stick to their music, and not try to sing Elvis, or My Way w drums, Somewhere Over the Rainbow...believe me...we like your music better! I think the dogs started howling... More

Good food. Nice varied menu from some of the other fare in town. The Wednesday drumming is a must. Funky beats, good eats, and a great mix of people.

My family of two teenagers went to drum night on Wednesday and were blown away at what we saw...drug deals left and right and so many drugs being used right in plain sight. The music is awful and most likely a cover up of the events that really take place. I have traveled to many Caribbean islands and understand that... More

Best pizza we've EVER eaten ANYWHERE! I have serious food allergies and Sharon was above and beyond accommodating. The food on drum night was excellent as well, and experiencing that performance is a must.

Thank you to Sharon and all the staff for yet another lovely experience in Castara. The food is excellent and the Beach House is such a lovely place to spend a relaxing hour (or 3!) while watching the world go by or making new friends. There is never a rush, it isn't a top class restaurant, so sit down, enjoy... More

Probably biased as this bar/restaurant was a minutes walk away and right on the beach. Menu did vary (which was good), Sharon and her staff do a fine job - always somewhere to sit, prompt service and food is good and reasonably priced. Spot on! Drummers' night on Wednesdays is a must although the follow-on limbo dancing is optional!!
