Great dinner!

We enjoyed delicious dinner. My wife had curry shrimp and i had curry calamari. The various vegetable sides were delicious. The drums and limbo contest on Wednesday evenings was very fun!

We stayed at alibaba's seabreeze next door, and had a few opportunities to patronize the Boat house. One afternoon we enjoyed a burger here. The rum punches are pretty potent, and the burgers and fries were served with a garlic white sauce that was quite tasty. If you are here on when they are doing the drum night (Tuesday or... More

Right on the beech in Little Bay Castara Sharon and her team run a very welcoming place. The positives of the Boat House have been covered well by others but, for me, the most delightful point was that by the second or third visit it was as though you were old friends visiting for a chat rather than customers. Grabbing... More

Brenton and his friends give it large on their drums - great beats that make a great atmosphere! The kitchen matched their efforts with an excellent squid in spiced coconut sauce, with a choice of local fish, chicken etc with local extras - for mains - done well, priced a bit more than some others on the beach. But where... More

We booked in for dinner on the Wednesday night, which is billed as the African drum night. We had no real idea what to expect. The dinner was actually very, very tasty, especially the squid which came in a divine creamy, curry sauce. Full marks to Sharon and team. The other dish of mahi-mahi was also good, but just pipped... This charming spot is a gamble when it comes to service and food. Sometimes great, other times good and a few times bad. it's up and down and actually pricy. Great food is hard to find in Tobago and I honestly prefer a shack by the road or a good bus-up shut. Most restaurants serve the same basics - the... More

If you really want to know what 'ahhh' feels like, you'll discover it at the Boat House bar and restaurant which languishes unpretentiously on the charming Little Bay in Castara. Here, perched on the beach, a few yards from the sea you'll find the "ahhh'" factor. The location has to be the best in Tobago and Sharon's home cooking is... More
