What a gem

Probably biased as this bar/restaurant was a minutes walk away and right on the beach. Menu did vary (which was good), Sharon and her staff do a fine job - always somewhere to sit, prompt service and food is good and reasonably priced. Spot on! Drummers' night on Wednesdays is a must although the... read more

Really surprised by the quality of the food this restaurant produced. The flavours and presentation were fantastic, the best food I had in Tobago.

This was our second visit to Tobago and after having such a wonderful lunch at the boathouse last time, we decided to drop in on our way back from the waterfalls. Well it couldn't have been a more different experience. On our last visit we were served fresh seafood and hosted warmly by Sharon the owner. This time, the restaurant... More

You are paying for fantastic food on the beach. The most expensive place we frequented in Castara. But nonetheless I have to rate it excellent.

Based on the reviews we were looking forward to the Wednesday night drumming and some good food. The place was busy for sure. But even allowing for a slower Caribbean vacation pace, the speed of service indicated not enough staff. The food was only mediocre compared to other places we enjoyed much more in Castara. The facilities were less than... More

This unassuming restaurant has an outside porch where you can dine on local fish, lobster, and meats. The vegetable portions were large and delicious - Indian style dahl, pumpkin and other varieties. We brought our own wine which turned out to be a good idea since they had run out so they did not charge a cork fee. The mood... More

We have been fortunate to have just spent 2 amazing weeks in Castara and have experienced the pleasure of Sharon's delights. Great tasting, well marinaded (seasoned) Caribbean food is served in huge portions by lovely staff. Aside from the formal restaurant evenings (Monday, Wednesday and Friday), there is an amazing home made pizza experience on a Sunday afternoon, that shouldn't... More

we frequented The Boat House on a few occasions during our stay in Castara in September, Sharon's food was absolutely delicious the best that we tasted during our stay, her culinary skills are truly amazing. Sharon herself is an amazing lady, very entertaining. The Boat House is an experience not to miss if you are in Castara.

My husband and I have had the pleasure of patronizing The Boat House Restaurant on two separate trips. And most memorably Christmas of 2013. Sharon and her whole crew not only served us fantastic food, but made us feel welcomed and wanted. The atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for while we lingered on the deck from lunch to...
