Excellent Food

The breakfasts were excellent with fresh orange juice. yogurt, fruit and a selection of breads. We also had eggs most mornings. At dinner there was a good selection of dishes. Some of it was traditional Moroccan but there was a range of more European dishes.

I went here to spend a day by the swimmingpool and relax, which one can do for 100 MAD if calling and making an apointement. Its set in an lovely garden. I also had lunch, chicken in mushroom sause, with potatoes and vegetables. Maybe my expectations where to high because this resturant has so excellent reviews, but I found the... More

For Moroccan standards, this an expensive restaurant. However, if you are looking for superb food and service, replete with a good wine list, Dar Zitoune will not disappoint. It is not a cozy Moroccan style restaurant but rather a larger, European-style place; bright with big windows, white tablecloths and a more formal feel. Service was impeccable and our waiter cordial... More

We've ate in good and bad restaurants this last 14 days. Now including out hotel we can say that this place (make a reservation) offered the best ambience, stunning a la carte food, amazing flavours and five star service! It's 10-20 dirhams in a petit taxi to get there £1.30 ish, and easily the best eating experience if our stay... More

Dar Zitoune have a great way of helping you to be a little adventurous when choosing your evening meal. Every night is a new menu, but with only three mains (Moroccan, European, Pasta). Over 7 nights (why go anywhere else?) my husband sampled three tagines (beef, lamb, fish); a monstrous mixed cous cous; the specialty pastilla pigeon (pie) which was... More

We had such an enjoyable 3 days at this riad that we cannot wait to go back again. The staff were superb, friendly, attentive so we really felt pampered, especially by the owner. The rooms are beautiful and very spacious with wonderful décor and set in delightful gardens. Lovely big pool but unfortunately too cold to swim but we floated... More

The food at Dar Zitoune is good. Moroccan ingredients with a French twist - and a cheese board! Tajines were very tasty. I also had a fried fillet of John Dory which tasted great, maybe cooked a little over for my liking but that's normal for Morocco. Good salads. Service attentive. Atmosphere is a bit hotelly - but then it... More

I've written this review seperate to the hotel review, as it deserves its own review. We stayed at the hotel for 7 nights in July, and we didn't venture anywhere else after the first night, because the food and service was so good. You are offered a small choice which may put people off, but don't be. You get a... More
