This is the restaurant of Taroudant. The service is excellent and the food very delicious. A nice selection of wine also... The owner is always there

We've ate in good and bad restaurants this last 14 days. Now including out hotel we can say that this place (make a reservation) offered the best ambience, stunning a la carte food, amazing flavours and five star service! It's 10-20 dirhams in a petit taxi to get there £1.30 ish, and easily the best eating experience if our stay... More

Dar Zitoune have a great way of helping you to be a little adventurous when choosing your evening meal. Every night is a new menu, but with only three mains (Moroccan, European, Pasta). Over 7 nights (why go anywhere else?) my husband sampled three tagines (beef, lamb, fish); a monstrous mixed cous cous; the specialty pastilla pigeon (pie) which was... More

We had such an enjoyable 3 days at this riad that we cannot wait to go back again. The staff were superb, friendly, attentive so we really felt pampered, especially by the owner. The rooms are beautiful and very spacious with wonderful décor and set in delightful gardens. Lovely big pool but unfortunately too cold to swim but we floated... More

The food at Dar Zitoune is good. Moroccan ingredients with a French twist - and a cheese board! Tajines were very tasty. I also had a fried fillet of John Dory which tasted great, maybe cooked a little over for my liking but that's normal for Morocco. Good salads. Service attentive. Atmosphere is a bit hotelly - but then it... More

I've written this review seperate to the hotel review, as it deserves its own review. We stayed at the hotel for 7 nights in July, and we didn't venture anywhere else after the first night, because the food and service was so good. You are offered a small choice which may put people off, but don't be. You get a... More

We didn’t stay here but came for dinner from another riad. A French-style menu versus Moroccan so a nice change if you are tired of tagines. They even had a cheese course! Very good food in a ‘package’ sort of environment.

A delightful hotel /restaurant outside the mediaeval walls of Taroudant. To sit out at one of the tables in the beautiful gardens makes the perfect setting to enjoy lunch. The service is excellent and friendly - we re-visited after a gap of eight months and the staff remembered us and made us feel special. The food is good, basically French... More

I've been there many times, both for lunch and dinner. Good food, delightful staff, never a disappointment. Fabulous place to go and have lunch by their heavenly pool, but book first. The pool is only for residents really, but if they aren't full at the hotel, they'll let you in for lunch - and it's divine there. A relaxing restful... More

Dar Zitoune is by far the best restaurant in the area. Although it is a place to sleep we walked in after a disappointed vised in Taroudant itself. Food is verygood with a French touche and there is a winelist that goes further than the average Carbernet.
