Well what a pleasant surprise

Stumbled in here on a rainy afternoon with no great expectations. The location on the main road is not great but they have done what they can, with the space they have to cosy things up. We were somewhat nervy ordering italian food in a kitchen clearly being run by three thai ladies but we were... read more

We love Thai food but my kids needed a break after 4 days of it non-stop. We all had pizzas and they were all pretty good...maybe a bit more American-style than Italian (I'm from Italy, so I'm admittedly a bit picky...) but the taste was good, though on the greasy side. The one with salami with very, very greasy though.... More

The restaurant is placed opposite the resort Santi Buri which is one of the more expensive resorts on Samui. The prices in the restaurant are more reasonable. The menu offers pasta, pizza, antipasti, soup and main dishes with meat and seafood. The carpaccio with beef is very good and the cheese and rocket salad it is served on give the... More

i have been here quite a few times now and the food is always excellent quality. I have had both the gnocchi and ravioli with gorgonzola sauce and they were both delicious. My companions have found the pizzas to be some of the best on Koh Samui and the prices are very reasonable. The restaurant itself is not in the... More

The location looks a little unusual but it's cosy inside, and with a few fellow diners nice enough. I could probably do without the football on the tv unless spurs are playing. The food is pretty reasonable.... nothing that will blow your mind ...but hey it's pretty reasonable priced as well....although may be worth avoiding the pesto...sauce was well prepared... More

Where it scores below other restaurants in Mae nam is the location, where it scores is the food, we are vegetarians, we liked the food, it was authentic Italian unlike other me too places we have seen. The staff's english comprehension was not that great, so we had some difficulties in getting what we wanted. Overall, go for a good... More

The place is straight across the Santiburi Resort with a large white sign "Ristorante Italiano - Caffe'E Cucina" Ordered some bruschetta with tomato and cheese, a pizza with salami and a pizza with parma ham. Both very chrunchy, bruschettas were good to. Food + 2 sodas and a beer turned out 800baht, which seemed reasonable. Would go again if craving... More

We have dined here many times over the years and food is consistently amazing. Fresh ingredients, dishes bursting with flavour. True Italian cooking at its best. The atmosphere is nice and service attentive. It can get a little warm (given its located on the road), but sit under a fan and you will surely enjoy.

Opposite to Santiburi resort, on the main road in Maenam, this restaurant is perhaps not in the best position, but the staff are friendly and very efficient, and the food is some of the best on the island. Seafood ravioli is excellent with lots of crab meat and seafood, and the sea bass is a little expensive but well worth... More

After several so-so Thai meals at recommended restaurants, it was a pleasure to visit a place where the food is really good. Some one has put real thought and care into this place. The menu is substantial but not overwhelming. We shared a dish of home-made sausage with spinach and potatoes - truly superb. Followed by a pizza with lots... More
