Sue is a great chef and person to give some inside knowledge of Koh Samui. I enjoy every meal and conversation.
Visited Sue's place first 3-4 years ago. Sue is a kind of a strong willed mother figure. The food is great, no complaints. A bit steeply priced but I'm ready to pay if the food's great. Liked the atmosphere then too. Took the cooking class 3-4 years ago. Even then we noticed her to be quite strict on How Things... More
Very good and authentique restaurant. You need a bit time because everything is made by Sue fresh. We were here twice and it was really a great place with very very good food. Thank you for this Sue :-)
Sue's restaurant should be number one. It is authentic Thai with a capital A. She is an acclaimed restauranteur from Sydney, but is Thai. Her small restaurant and tiny kitchen pump out the best Thai food I've ever had. We had the prawns that were to die for, followed by the snapper. We are back tomorrow to do her cooking... More
My wife and I came upon this place yesterday while looking for dinner. We were very pleasant and courteous coming in.....as we sat down, I set a bottle of water that I had been carrying on the table. She immediately told us that we couldn't drink water and needed to order wine. Thinking she was joking, we both started laughing... More
The food is very nice but you have to follow the rules of the lady! It seems she is making a favour to feed you... But it's a restaurant so she should also be pleased to have you there. We didn't go back just to avoid the feeling of being the next annoying tourist there.
My wife and I randomly came across this place when looking for another highly recommended restaurant across the road which was closed. Food was incredibly flavoursome, great value. Beef panang was great, red chicken curry superb, satay chicken amazing. But dessert was the star - mango with sticky rice, and coconut ice cream. Well worth the taxi here. Ty Sue!
For of us had dinner at Arun tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it! The owner is a bit 'quirky' but incredibly helpful and honest in sharing her knowledge of Thai food and other things about Koh Samui. We had lengthy chats about the above mentioned. Yes, she is straight down the line and very confident, but really knows her stuff (... More
This little restaurant, that only serves 12 persons maximum at a time, is truly the most cosy gem on the island. Sitting at wooden benches, on small chairs, and being served by Sue and her helper, was truly a delightful experience! Everything we ordered, fish, chicken, rice, was so well prepared, that we wished we could eat here everyday. We... More
