Traditional baking at its best

This was one of the things we enjoyed most while travelling the beautiful island of gozo. Maxok gives the traditional feel to this tasty pizza gozo style. Beware as this place gets extremely busy

Been waiting to try their pizza for a long time and finally after doing so, I can say it's one of the best pizzas out there! Good selection of pizzas and ftiras to choose from!

This is a family run small business, they used to be a bakery in the old times, they used to make the tradional maltese loaf and some ftajjar on the side, but now they makes some of the most delicious pizza and maltese ftira on the island. It is take-away only but one must try it. It is quite a... More

Read the reviews on here and wanted to give it a try. The traditional pizza is indeed different with potato, cheese as the stable ingredient and other toppings of your desire. The end result is rather a surprising mixture of taste. The crust is very good and the ingredients are fresh and flavourful. This isn't the best pizza I've ever... More

this is not my first time at maxokk and will not be the last one for sure. When i'm on the island i am always looking forward to try one the ftiras of maxokk. I was never disappointed with the quality and the price is really worth it (ranging from €4.00 to €6.50 or €7.00 not sure). So if you... More

They started decades ago with just the 'gozo cheeselet ftira' which is the gozitan version of pizza. Then they added loads of other options but this remains a favourite. Not worth visiting Gozo without having a take-out and eat it on a view point (also in Nadur). If the size is too much you can reheat in the oven and... More

Although this is a hole in the wall take out only place, do not leave the island without trying their ftira, a traditional Maltese specialty. Bursting with flavor, salty and satisfying. Try the Gozitan cheese, or Maltese sausage. The pepperoni/salami was also very good. Call ahead to order and pick up! Cheap, cheap, cheap as well!

Almost a hole in the wall traditional bakery for Fritera and Pizza - all from a traditional bread oven . Order and pick is best especially the Gozitan chees and potato fritera.

A friend of mine recommended this to me. It was a super delicious pizza. Although the location was hidden and there was no place to wait, but it worth the effort because their pizza was amazing. Definitely a must for every travellers!

So we had a hard day at work and much more so on our way to the ferry we ordered a Gozitan ftira and a bottle of Red - for the the passengers in the car. Wow it merged nicely with the sunset on the ferry. this is great food , service and punctuality. It is never enough aside from... More
