Great, inexpensive lunches

We ate here twice for lunch on recent visit to Stanwix Park. Says it all really. Great, inexpensive lunch menu. Fish and chips are ace. Plenty of space for buggy, service good. Note Openi g times before you visit though,, lunch only served 12-2. Worth timing it right!

Enjoyed a superb evening meal with two other members of my family (my son and grandson) on our Hadrian's Cycleway C2C cycle ride. We were recommended to eat here by the proprietors of the B&B at The Queen's Hotel and can pass our recommendation on to other travellers to this fabulous part of the United Kingdom. Our meal was freshly... More

Was ugraded to a renovated room which was nice. Friday, Saturday and Sunday night the neighboring flat dwellers had a party until about 1:30am. Had to wear ear plugs to sleep on all 3 nights. Realize that the hotel owner could do little about this, but it was very annoying when I couldn't even hear the TV.

We arrived for lunch at 12:35 on a Saturday (having had good food here in the past) to find reception, the large lounge dining area and bar totally unmanned. We hung around for a few minutes but on noticing the strong musty stale atmosphere which pervaded the premises and still no sign of staff, we decided to go elsewhere. We... More

Only ate here and so glad we did. The food and service was excellent. Portions were rather on the large side so unfortunately couldn't eat all mine. I had the carbonarra and my oh had the pork and black pudding stack. If we ever visited this area again we would definitely go back

Having booked to play the wonderful Silloth golf course, this hotel is very handily placed along the street. Comfortable rooms, and nice breakfast. There's 2/3 local pubs in town and a welcoming RAFA club. Great location.

This restaurant seems to change chefs very frequently and this has a huge effect on the food. In the past, it has been nice, but not for a while now. The last time we visited it was very poor indeed with what had obviously been frozen food, like the sort you can buy from a shop like Iceland. However, the... More

Whilst on our holidays for 7 nights, we ate here 3 times. The food is amazing, decent wine & beer choice and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Even accommodated my fussy eater child with a mix from the menu. First class! If we're ever back in Silloth, I would definitely return.

The service was polite, helpful and swift, one small grumble would be that the staff let you know when giving out the menu the meals that are not available as this is annoying when you spend time deciding and then are told that the meal is not available. That said the food and the presentation where excellent and a pleasure... More
