A small restaurant nestling next to an Abbey with a large selection from the blackboard menu. In a very relaxed atmosphere Julien and his team are friendly and helpful. Food beautifully presented. Probably need to make reservation.

Have been visiting this area for the last 14 years finally visited here after several failed attempts. It was certainly worth the wait.delicious food, free glass of champagne because Julien had decided we had waited too long for our dessert, we actually hadn't noticed as we were all happily chatting. You couldnt wish for a better setting, no issues with parking... I visit the Perigord Noir region regularly and have eaten at this restaurant many times. It's unique selling point is its fabulous setting - next to a lovely church in a large cutting with a little stream running through it. The floodlit restaurant building itself looks like an idealised idea of the perfect French restaurant. It is worth going just... More

We love this restaurant! Had to book up in advance for my son's birthday which was on our annual holiday. It was already booked up weeks in advance but we managed to get in at lunchtime. Had a superb meal. The location is fabulous - recommend booking well in advance. It's well worth a visit!

We dined here in the evening, having booked several days in advance. It is right next to the Abby which is floodlit at night creating a lovely atmosphere. The service was excellent throughout the meal, friendly and well paced. Classic french food - a focus on quality local ingredients. Worth the trip to get here.

My whole family went to Chez Julien's while holidaying in France this summer and had a wonderful lunch. We had tried to go the year before but found you needed to book in advance so we were well prepared this year. We decided to sit outside to eat as the sun was shining and had the menu brought out to... More

I have ben using this restaurant for over 10 years now.....absolutely SUPERB. You DO need to book in advance, especially during the summer months, as they get booked up very quickly. Children's menu is always available, and the atmosphere is relaxed and set in the most beautiful setting. WELL WORTH A VISIT, and once you've been, you will always go... More

In the shadow of the adjacent abbey with the ever maturing trees in the courtyard, Julien's is getting better and better. What a setting. Super food served by friendly, professional staff led by the ever charming host, an absolute natural at his job. You will be delighted by the whole experience, book though, it gets busy as it has become... More
