.. I have already reviewed this charming and fabulous restaurant, nestled away in the little valley in the Dordogne area. I wanted to share some of the photos I took one of the times we dined there. Everything we had was simply wonderful and the wait staff so professional and courteous. I highly recommend this for lunch and dinner.. Julien... More

We are staying at Le Vieux Logis in nearby Tremolat, a short 6 km drive on country roads, and they recommended Chez Julien to us. Excellent lunch! Friendly owner and delicious food and local wine. Reasonable 32 EU menu includung three courses. Loved the escargot, roast pork, and pruneaux dessert! Nice fire going in the quaint thick walled old auberge... More

It started with a very friendly welcome and then into very pleasant surroundings. The staff spoke English quite well and helped us with the menu. Both my wife and I loved our dinners, the wine and the shared dessert. Hope we can return someday.

We were lucky enough to dine at Chez Julien twice in one week while traveling the French countryside (from the USA). Paunat is a tiny hamlet and Chez Julien is located next to a beautiful Abbey presently being restored. GPS is very helpful to find the location as is the Abbey, which is hard to miss. Reservations are highly recommended... More

We were staying at a lovely gite in pressignac -vicq , in the Dordogne and had heard of this lovely restaurant in the grounds of an old abbey , just the place to celebrate a late anniversary . our host at the gite wendy Osborne kindly rang the restaurant and booked us in for lunch. we headed off through the... A favourite restaurant which we visit regularly. The location is lovely, both inside and out. The menu is surprisingly varied which means we can take friends happy in the knowledge they are bound to find something to enjoy. The staff are lovely too. Gets very busy at weekends and in summer, so booking is essential.

..Chez Julien is in a small hollow next to an ancient Abbey in the wee village of Paunat, France. The setting is delightful as is the owner, Julien. Handsome and friendly ... he greeted us and when we told him who sent us and he led us to the best table on th patio with the best view of the... More

We visited Chez Julien while on holiday from Northern Ireland. Our first impression was the beautiful setting, in a little hollow beside the old church, as if carved purposely for quietness and privacy. We were then captivated by our reception: efficient and friendly - which continued throughout our stay. Three waiters interacted with is during our meal, all of them... More

Wonderful position by the Abbey in this delightful village in The Dordogne. Had Sunday lunch sitting on the patio. They made us very welcome. Good set menu with good choice plus a la carte. The set lunch was good value, which my wife enjoyed. I went for A la carte which was also very enjoyable. Good choice of local wines.... More

A small restaurant nestling next to an Abbey with a large selection from the blackboard menu. In a very relaxed atmosphere Julien and his team are friendly and helpful. Food beautifully presented. Probably need to make reservation.
