We loved this restaurant, a superb venue for our Sunday lunch with friends. The menu choice is very good, excellent presentation and service. In a delightful garden setting and good parking.

We love this restaurant! Had to book up in advance for my son's birthday which was on our annual holiday. It was already booked up weeks in advance but we managed to get in at lunchtime. Had a superb meal. The location is fabulous - recommend booking well in advance. It's well worth a visit!

We dined here in the evening, having booked several days in advance. It is right next to the Abby which is floodlit at night creating a lovely atmosphere. The service was excellent throughout the meal, friendly and well paced. Classic french food - a focus on quality local ingredients. Worth the trip to get here.

My whole family went to Chez Julien's while holidaying in France this summer and had a wonderful lunch. We had tried to go the year before but found you needed to book in advance so we were well prepared this year. We decided to sit outside to eat as the sun was shining and had the menu brought out to... More

I have ben using this restaurant for over 10 years now.....absolutely SUPERB. You DO need to book in advance, especially during the summer months, as they get booked up very quickly. Children's menu is always available, and the atmosphere is relaxed and set in the most beautiful setting. WELL WORTH A VISIT, and once you've been, you will always go... More

In the shadow of the adjacent abbey with the ever maturing trees in the courtyard, Julien's is getting better and better. What a setting. Super food served by friendly, professional staff led by the ever charming host, an absolute natural at his job. You will be delighted by the whole experience, book though, it gets busy as it has become... More

My wife and I recently stayed for two weeks in the lovely French village of Paunat. As we have done for the last four years we booked a table for lunch at Julian's. As ever the food was delicious, imaginative, and extremely good value. Nothing is too much trouble for Julian, his English is terrific and he is very tolerant... More

We decided, fairly late in the day, to eat out and remembered that we had not been to this restaurant for over a year. We rang only to find that the only tables left were outside - we decided to risk this even though there was a possibility of rain. We had a very nice meal though personally I would... More

We have eaten very well this week in Dordogne, but Julien comes out just on top. We hit a rainy day for lunch so were denied the outdoor setting looking at the famous Abbey. Even so indoors was charming. The dishes are on one side of a chalkboard, wines on the other. We chose a E23 menu. There is also... More

Relaxing over a slow lunch in the sunshine or dinner on a warm evening on the balcony at Chez Juliens is, for us, one of life’s great pleasures. The combination of good food and the wonderful setting has lured us back several times over the past decade and we have not been disappointed. We recently turned up for lunch, with... More
