Visited here for Sunday lunch in the autumn, in a large group. Superb food, served promptly and efficiently in a very friendly manner. Always willing to offer an alternative if someone doesn't like the set dish. The now offer a number of main courses not "just" duck, I had a very good steak. Needless to say the duck is always... I ate here earlier this month and also 5 and a half years ago. The menu rarely seems to vary. The overall impression is one of lots of food and particularly lots of wine - good value but the food and overall experience was not memorable. It feels a bit like an industry with a conveyer belt of food and... More

We went to this resteraunt last August ( see review) and were so impressed we had it on our list of things to do as soon as we planned returning. Again we sat on the terrace and this year I think the food was even better than last year, the highlight must be the potatoes with the cepes sauce all... More

We have eaten here three times this summer having extolled its virtues to our various visitors who insisted on us making a return visit with them. Excellent food. A bottle of wine with each course and a fabulous cheeseboard. I had pineapple carpaccio which I still dream about. A superb experience.

This rural restaurant is one of life's must do's. The menu is limited and heavily duck orientated but everything is cooked to perfection. 35 euros buys you everything including all the alcohol you can manage! We have been with a vegetarian friend and they prepared a very good meal for her too. Would advise booking as gets more and more... More

We were taken to this restaurant as part of a group of local residents and what a joy it was. The menu is slightly limited and you have to like meat in general an duck in particular

We loved our dinner at Famile Moutiers. The food was delicious and there was a lot of it. The food was also accompanied by a lot of wine all for the flat price of €35 each. We were heaven! The cheese board at the end nearly tipped us overboard. Such a fabulous French experience.

We stayed in Villeneuve de Duras a few miles from this restaurant and it was recommended to us by the owners of our accommodation. We booked (very advisable in the middle of August) and arrived at 19:30. We were seated out on the veranda and asked what we would like to drink. At this point we were the only ones... More

There are not enough superlatives to describe this restaurant. It was a tasting menu with a difference. As others have said, everything about this place is fantastic. It was 6 courses of heaven on a plate with the wine to match and at only 35 euros a head there are no complaints from me. We started with an apéritif of... More

My husband, sons 8 & 13, my mother and myself ate at Famille Mouiter tonight on the recommendation of friends we stayed with. It was amazing! The food was delicious! Lots of duck and not what we would normaly eat but so wonderfully cooked and presented. Every bit of food, a different wine with every course, cheese, dessert, liquires! All... More
