4th night in Koh Samui and our 2nd visit to The Shack... Don't usually visit the same restuarant twice. Food just as wonderful 2nd time.. Burgers that melt in your mouth.. Salsa dip scrummy.. Sorbet perfect to finish dinner.. Crabs legs delicious and fillet steak cooked perfectly.. Can't recommend The Shack highly enough.. Mick the Irish man is the perfect... More

They get a 2 because we ate our entire meal and didn't have too many complaints about the taste. Which may normally earn at least a 3, however, the price was just too ridiculous. "Perfectly adequate burger, decent fried prawn appetizer… IF these items cost $5-$7 USD each. However. At the $20 price tag for a burger and $12 charge... More

The atmosphere was fantastic. The steaks were the best ever. Fishermans Village is one of the must see places on Samui

After having mainly seafood and Thai cuisine most nights it was lovely to have a western meal. We had the burger and lamb chops. Very tasty! The meat was so succulent it fell apart. The resturaunt is all open so if you are not afraid of bugs it is well worth a visit.

Very nice place if you feel like having a great steak or burger. The place is definitely not cheap, but considering its location (Fishermen Village is very touristy and expensive in general) and imported meats they use. To be precise, they charge 500-600 baht for a burger - it's big and definitely enough for dinner without any side dishes. The... More

Our ratings - Prawn cakes 7/10; mussels 8/10; chill con carne was top drawer - 9/10 (we don't know what a 10 is); real French fries were great. Only downer was the Greek salad which was too oily and not enough balsamic. Service great and fast and pleasant. Highly recommended!

Had the chicken and ribs and got violent food poisoning within a few hours. Not a great way to spend a holiday. Don't waste your time and health eating western food in Thailand, it's expensive and makes you sick.

The restaurant isn't the cheapest on the island but neither is it outrageously priced. The Shack is the only restaurant I encountered on my trip that justified returning to a couple of nights later. Steaks are beautiful, the wings are pretty hot but absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was very good with some excellent tunes being played. Service was very prompt... More

the bbq grill wafting about gets you tempted! Lovely steak and barracuda steak as well....worth the money drinks were expensive though so that's what let it down a bit. but we eat there twice as it was so good.
