Cafe 69 is a definite stop when you head to Bophut. Although it's off the main fisherman's village street it's definitely one to seek out. Valerie puts on some fantastic specials and the service is great - not always the case on Samui. I had a meal there with 15 others when my family came to visit and they were... More

Really fabulous food by Vivian, who is a self-taught chef. He is passionate about presentation and flavour. One of the best meals we had in Thailand. Food I'll never forget.

We went three times to cafe 69 during our stay of one week. Food is just among the best we've ever had on all our numerous trips within Thailand. The owner Vivian is friendly and helpful and you can tell he is passionate about his food and the cafe. Try the green curry cakes and the slowly cooked lamb curry!... More

We had a great time here, the food was delicious. We had the duck wontons which we're great, the chicken fried rice and the green curry. Everything was tasty and great flavours. The owner is chatty and lovely. Would definitely recommend!

First time to this little restaurant on the Bophut to Maenam main road. Reservation advised as only a few tables. Excellent and unusual menu, recommend the green curry pie and the scallops in yellow curry, will definitely return on my next visit

The service is excellent. The owner is so friendly and chatty. We order all of his recommendation, and couldn't be more satisfied. Food taste so excellent, place also comfy. Gonna come again real soon.

Visited cafe 69 for lunch having read the wonderful reviews before arriving on ko samui. I sooo wanted to be blown away but... The owner was lovely and friendly but our waitress barely cracked a smile or spoke. Food was good... Duck wontons were really tasty, hot and stuffed full of perfectly cooked duck. My main of slow cooked beef... More

I have to confess that we did not find this restaurant through TripAdvisor; instead, it was a recommendation from our hotel (Hansar). We were a little leery of the place given its name, but we were thoroughly impressed with both the service and the food! The food itself might best be described as "Thai Fusion", and the fresh fruit drinks... More

We went for our last night of our honeymoon and we we were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the really unique decor. We ate off the specials board, so it ended up being one of our more expensive meals but still cheap in comparison the UK prices and certainly better value than other places we... More

We are looking for something different as we had already tried the usual at fishermans village, chawang etc, and here we were at this tiny little joint in the middle of no where....we were lucky to find the only two empty seats without reservation. The owner Ahmed/Vivian greeted us and when asked for suggestions for drinks, he happily recommended the... More
