Ranked #54 of 127 restaurants in Bophut
Price range: $5 - $20
Cuisines: Thai, International, Pizza & Pasta, New Zealand
Dining options: Breakfast/Brunch, Reservations, Late Night
Description: Beautiful sunset over Bangrak bay looking over the Big Buddha monument. BBC has been owned and operated since August 2002 by a Thai New Zealand family. The objective of the owners is to provide an affordable and quality meal in a relaxed environment with the main focus being the tremendous view. BBC is not fine dining and has a very large menu as well as often very large portions. As a mixed family, we know the problems of trying to satisfy all of the varied tastes of the family when eating out so have tried to cover it in our menu. We do get busy at times but do our best to cater to any special requests and always like to get feedback whether good or not so good. If you are in Samui in August 2012, please come along to our 10th anniversary party.

For me this restaurant is a very good expample for average in all kinds of view. Eating not bad, but not special. Same same with staff, cleanliness (toilets), the beach near the restaurant ... But still better to go to this restaurant, than to the near restaurants at the small half-island of Big Buddha, that is for sure.

This iconic restaurant, only metres from Koh Samui's most popular attraction, Big Buddha, correctly boasts having the "Best Sunset in Koh Samui". I would suggest getting here around 1 hour before sunset, enjoy the half price Happy Hour cocktails, watch the sunset then order your meal. Its a very romantic setting, perfect for couples, however, the sheer size of BBC... More

Great views, pretty good food, decent service and good prices. What more can you ask for? Got to the restaurant in time for sunset. Restaurant had just 5 or do tables occupied. We ordered a couple of drinks, took some photos and then ordered so e food...massaman and a green curry. Food took a while but arrived piping hot and... More

Like all places that become a tourist haunt, it has started to "westernise" their Thai dishes, so they're not so authentic anymore. Still a good place to come because they are usually not crowded and the price is reasonable, if a little higher than the norm. You get a great view of the sunset and it's a nice place to... More

This restaurant has one of the best sunset views on Koh Samui and is worth visiting for that reason alone. It's open to the sea and enjoying a drink as the sun sets over the distant hills is hard to better. The food is good - a choice of Thai or traditional western dishes including fish and chips - probably... More

I've been coming to this restaurant on holiday for 5 years and it remains fantastic. Excellent food and atmosphere. Hopefully it will remain for another 5!

Rented mountain bikes from our hotel and took a ride to the big Buddha which is where we found BBC. It's a big place and we were 2 of only 6 people there for lunch. The views are fab and the food was good. I had the pad se ewe which was super tasty and my husband had the burger... More

The food is okay but the service was below average. the location is very good with a great view, especially at sunset. The prices are average, for a family we paid about 1000 THB

We visit Koh Samui 3-4 times each year and having been coming for the past 10 years.During the early years we would go to BBC for breakfast and the occasional dinner however always found breakfast more enjoyable. On the most recent 2 trips we have noticed a significant decline in both service and food,we attempted to have breakfast there with our... We cannot rate the food, since we never got served! There were only 3 tables occupied, but 1 waiter and 1 barman could not cope with the orders. We waited for 1 hour 30 min and then decided to leave, together with one or two other table's clients. The location is stunning, but it does not make up for the... More
