Eating with style

Great dinner at Gustavo. The place is very charming, typical Salento's atmosphere. There is a fixed menu that changes everyday, making sure food is always fresh. It was excellent quality and service. I highly recommend it.

For 25 euros you receive a full course dinner and wine. There is a set menue and no a la carte. Food is creative and you will find dishes you did not know existed. We will be back!

Another year, another outstanding experience! Gustavo remains one of the best culinary experience in Puglia, a rare feat as unfortunately here restaurants come and go and very rarely manage to maintain quality over time. But each year Carmela and her team consistently deliver truly excellent and creative food, usually locally sourced from the many agro-entrepreneurs which grace the region. The... More

Don't be fooled by the three dollar signs: it is more pricey than some of Puglia, but the Europe-over quality to price is world class. Local creativity at its best with a classy yet home-comfortable setting. Don't be shocked if a few kids are allowed to wander the garden patio. See you there?

Absolutely amazing meal, actually one of the best i've had all year- I am from London where there are so many incredible restaurants and I get wine and dined by clients but this was just wonderful. The whole experience of being greeted by the owner ( who is a twin so don't think you're going mad) to the wonderful surrounding... More

I would definitely recommend a visit here at least once. For the dining experience it is worth every penny - and at £25 per head including wine it is AMAZING value. 8 courses so make sure you go there hungry. The atmosphere is great and the service brilliant. Solid Italian home cooked food. The food was outstanding, and not knowing... More

An outstanding restaurant which successfully follows a formula of one set menu with beautifully fresh, locally sourced ingredients at a very reasonable price. Attentive, charming and informative staff in an easily accessible location. A culinary 'must visit' in the Salento region.

We arrived with 2 toddlers in tow - no one raised on eyebrow despite it obviously not being a place suitable for kids. They just coo-ed over them and let us get on with it. Luckily the kids soon fell asleep to leave us to enjoy one of the most pleasant dining experiences we've ever had. Amazing food, great wine,... More

In the February-rain we followed the recommendation of our hotel owner. On our last evening of a rainy week in Salento we went to Gustavo Braceria. Everey dish was explained in English. Local visitors were coming in. We love the surprise of not knowing ... local products, typically local food. A good bottle of wine. Nice conversation and a lovely... More

Gustavo Braceria Ate here in June (again late review as only just getting my reviews posted) and was totally delighted with the food, the ambiance and the beautiful nature of Carmela and her efforts to ensure 4 non Italian speaking Brits knew what and where all the dishes came from was amazing. We all loved everything about it, but the... More
