no menu. Thats how this eating adventure begins. After sitting down to a lovely table in an outdoor garden with lanterns and covers hanging from the trees, we were greeted with a smile by none other than the owner. After asking for a menu, I realized what fantastic situation I found myself in. Essentially, there is a flat charge of... More

I don't often write about restaurants I don't like, but in this case I feel the urge to advise people, who travel to Apulia for its superb food. Don't go, don't waste your time, the food is absolutely useless, not typical, not even good. And the service is also quite bad. There's plenty of good places around Salento, don't waste... More

Wonderful meal and experience. The setting is charming, sitting in the softly lit garden on a warm summer evening. Carmela and her staff are very friendly, and our waiter was able to explain each dish in English to our table since our Italian is abysmal. Best of all was the food which was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. As already mentioned... More

We went here after reading the reviews on here and were not disappointed. Being fussy eaters we were slightly nervous about the lack of a menu but decided to jump in and give it a go - we needn't have been worried, everything was absolutely delicious. All the dishes were explained to us with obvious care and attention. The restaurant... More

An architect friend took me here and we got a table by the fire on a rainy March evening: Carmela was gracious and playful and basically it was a prix fix meal of locally themed plates, a bit like tapas but the portions were bigger. Laid back, original, hip. If you have spent a lot of time in Italy like... More

If you wish to have the full flavor of Salento , this is the place. Carmella and her husband have created an inviting atmosphere where you can truly experience the flavors of Salento. The garden dining area is very welcoming and work hard to make your evening special. Reservations are helpful as there is limited seating and they are very... More

A truly exceptional restaurant, very one-off, a lawyer in the kitchen creates really fabulous tasting menus of what's fresh and local. Very sophisticated crowd of artists and film makers somehow find their way to this hidden gem in a little town in Salento. Would be a big hit in Tokyo or Los Angeles, too.
