A lovely little restaurant close to Apartmentos Atenas where we were staying. Great food and a wide assortment. Lots of seating, indoors and out, and reasonably priced.

We stayed in Athena and this turned out to be our best place to eat. The inside is beautifully decorated, very tropical, food was very tasty . I would recommend this as a must stop if you're in that area. Check out the two parrots. They gave us a nice floor show after dinner.

Love the hand made tables and chairs, other decor. Food also excellent, had the chicken fajitas, Peruvian Ceviche, which were excellent. Prices reasonable, great for kids and family!

The food was very good and staff very helpful with our lack of Spanish. One of the more interesting decors.

After a long day of flying we were finally on the road, and didn't stop to eat until almost 8. We saw Jalepenos by the side of the road and it looked inviting. The restaurant and bar were spacious, the waitstaff was wonderful, and my Sopa Azteca was the best I've ever had - from a really good menu. I... More

Our first night in Costa Rica. We enjoyed a delicious meal at this restaurant. Our only complaint was that it was higher in price then we anticipated would be the case in CR. But very good shrimp and chicken dishes. No English spoken, but staff very helpful and willing to work around our broken Spanish to get the job done.

If you speak Spanish, then this might be a much better experience. Yo habla piquito so we ended up with a salad each and one to share. I had mixed seafood as recommended by someone else and was unimpressed with the seafood and the sauce. Went to Gelly's on the plaza for coffee and dessert after and all was good.

The food was great, they make a mean margarita and the restaurant is beautiful. Local wood is used throughout and the ambiance is well worth the trip

The churrasco a la parilla, the great fresh juices they serve and the gourmet omlette with fruits (not to forget the capuccuino a la ateniense) leaves you speechless. Not to mencion the nice attention, the beautiful decoration and the pleasure ambiete. Try it!
