Very good

We have visited twice and had lovely meals both times . This is by far the best "quality " restaurant in the area however the menu which is limited didn't change between visits which were six months apart . I think seasonal food is very important and expected a restaurant of thus standard to... read more

We were lucky enough to be recommended this lovely little restaurant in Cestayrols by 3 different locals on 3 separate occasions. We booked Sunday lunch and were reassured to see the cosy restaurant fill with local diners. We made our choices from the a la carte menu and chose a really good right bank Gaillac wine which was incredibly good... More

We spent 3 nights at a charming gite in Cestayriols and decided to book in for lunch on our last day. The lunch menu is an absolute steal at 18.50 EUR for 3 courses ( alc mains are nearer 30!) and i was very impressed with the selection of local wines on offer, many of which were under 25EUR a... In the middle of a small village south of Cordes. On a sunny day we sat on the terrace, overlooking the old church, a very quiet and serene atmosphere. We were initially thinking of opting for one of the four set menus but the lady in charge did a great job promoting the special of the day, 3-course for a... More

Top quality restaurants are thin on the ground in Tarn, so it was very good to find this place only 15 minutes from my house. The village of Cestayrols is very small but picturesque, and finding the restaurant is easy as it is about the only commercial enterprise in the place. The menu contains a mix of four multi-course menus... More

We stayed at the nearby B&B whose hosts recommended the restaurant to experience local cuisine together with a typically nice and relaxed long afternoon lunch. We successfully met all the criterion! It was a lovely June afternoon and we sat in the outside covered area at the back of the restaurant. The restaurant was quite busy for a weekday lunch.... More

great interior - first surprise coming from outside. we had had a recommendation from our B&B otherwise we would have never stopped there. nice staff too. great wine list and service. Meal was quite good, except for the desserts, which looked really good but had no taste! even the strawberries had no taste, which was quite surprising in May. overall... More

I hadn't realised until quite recently that I could review this restaurant on Trip Advisor, and the following experience took place almost four years ago. I have stated "October 2012", because I had to choose a date before submitting this. My husband and I went there to celebrate my birthday, and frankly we wished we had stayed at home (we... More

To be fair, the presentation of the food was wonderful, the main part of each dish, we all agreed, was delicious and the service and the atmosphere were fine. Where it all went wrong for us as a family of four was that the decorative additions which complemented the appearance of each dish really didn't complement the flavour. I'd be... More

I read somewhere that this could well be a Michelin-starred restaurant. Well I think not, from our experience recently. My husband and I went for lunch on a Monday in June 2013. The restaurant was very quiet with less than 8 customers. We decided on the 2-course menu de jour which was supposedly value for money. The first course of... More
