We arrived at the restaurant and it was very busy. We were lucky to get a table so it promised great things. We shared the antipasto which was the usual fare in this part of Italy - nothing special. I ordered grilled lamb and my wife ordered a sausage dish. While waiting we noticed a couple at a table beside... More

Soo happy to find ti open on a Monday Night. Everything else was closed. The food was wonderful and simple. Perfect for me. Have some China after dinner...see if you like it!

Visited this town on my birthday to meet with Italian language lady who writes a great blog. Arrived a bit after noon and found the town dead. We eventually found this restaurant hidden in a back street. What a pleasant surprise! The ambience was cozy and "old Italy" with lots of charm. The wait staff were most helpful in describing... This restaurant is a bastion of local cuisine. It specialises in typical Lunigiana dishes such as Testaroli. They are cooked in a pan, similar to a pancake, then boiled. The traditional Pontremoli testaroli are made with flour from a native wheat grown in the mountains of Zeri, which is currently undergoing a revival. It is still scarce, so most testaroli... More

After having discovered that our favourite restaurant in Pontremoli has been closed years ago, we tried this osteria following the reviews in tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. Very good, simple fare pontremolese-style, in a nice setting, at very honest prices. Highly recommended.

Not many courses, always the same plates but very well done with high quality material. It's e very small family run restaurant, the wife in the kitchen and the hundsband servicing the table. It's more a winter place than summer one but worth trying anyway!

We ran into this lovely small restaurant with our 9-month-old child on our way to Tuscany. It is in a town that is a nice dedalo of narrow streets with old bridges and balconies. The name osteria suggests that it is an inn and not really a restaurant. Actually you get the feeling of being brought back to the Middle... More

We eaten two testaroli with pesto, and agnello alla cacciatora. Both really very good, delicious! The size of the serving is tailored for a "small" woman ... not for a man, unless you take also an appetizer and a dessert, maybe. 8 euros for half a liter of home-made wine is too much, but globally with two dishes you can... We spot this little tiny restaurant while walking along the lovely narrow streets in pontremoli. We stopped there because from outside the place was very cosy and warm. Once inside the owner was very rude and not at all as you would expect from a proper customer service. The restaurant was almost empty and we kindly asked to seat somewhere... More
