Perfect pub tucked away in quiet village

My wife and I visit here for a drink every month or two and sometimes have a meal. More recently we stayed overnight in one of there rooms for B&B. As I enjoy beer, the guest ales on offer are very nice and frequently changed. There are also several ciders to be had and many different whiskys... read more

We visited for lunch on New Year's Day. What a great experience! Superb food, beautifully presented, excellent Tribute extra plus other great ales. Open fire, excellent service from lovely friendly staff. A faultless experience.. Gracie, our Bull Terrier, thought that the cheesey chips were outstanding.

Recently took my parents for an anniversary meal on a Sunday evening. It wasn't busy but the wait for food was atrocious! The kids were starving and they had to wait even longer for theirs as the original order wasn't available. Although the food was very nice when it eventually came, the poor service, wait and lack of apology put... More

Friendly welcome, fab food, roaring fire. Totally recommend and will visit again. Hope to stay next time. Just what we needed on a cold wintery stormy night.

Stopped here for lunch. We got a very warm welcome as did Watson, our dog. I ordered a sausage sandwich but was delighted with what arrived! Granary bread was toasted, loads of tasty sausage and melted cheese (Watson well impressed) and chutney inside. Along with this was salad, a pot of coleslaw and a pot of vegetable crisps. It looked... More

Went with local friends on their recommendation. Lovely friendly welcome, nice cask ales and as we were in Cornwall great Cheese and Onion Pasty with super chips. Will definitely go again. Pretty village with nice walks.

We always plan a lunch visit to the Falcon whenever we are in Cornwall - its such a great pub. Sunday lunch was excellent as always - generous portions with plenty of vegetables. The service was quick and as friendly as usual. They always have a great range of real ales. The key is to book in advance.

I'm vegetarian, and went for the wild mushroom burger, with low expectations. Was I surprised and delighted!! It was huge....it was interesting....it was all healthy and fresh ingredients. I have a big appetite, but this was a meal in itself. If I'm in Cornwall again, I will definitely go back here. There was a pleasant, but casual country pub atmosphere,... More
