Pleasant lunch in the summer sun

Two of us went there for lunch and each enjoyed a lovely toastie with sausage, red onion marmalade and mature cheddar cheese. It was lovely and came with crisps and salad, so it was a good portion. We did have to wait a while as they were very busy, but it was a pleasant wait outside in the sun.

Whilst staying in St Mawgan recently decided to try the local pub for a bite to eat. We had been out all day and got back about 730pm we checked that we didn't need a reservation. We were told we didn't. After a change of clothes we headed down arriving about 830pm. The pub was busy there was a beer... More

Delicious food in a stunning setting! I would recommend reserving a table as it's a very popular country pub. A great choice of locally sourced food cooked to perfection. the pub itself is in the quaint village of St Mawgan. We visited with our 9 and 7 year olds and there was plenty of choice on the menu for them.

We were recommended this by someone who lives locally and it didn't disappoint. We had a starter of squid and whitebait which was delicious and main courses of venison curry, smoked haddock and a poached egg and a chicken burger. All tasty and all very filling. The staff were all lovely. The restaurant was very busy. We didn't do pudding... More

Nice country pub in a village setting. Excellent service in the bar, mainly when the bar manager Tony was there. Landlady works hard, as do most of staff - saw little of the Landlord. Good choice of real ales and good menu.

Having been recommended this pub by a couple of friends, we decided to eat there tonight. The staff were very good but the food was disappointing: the steak and stilton pie was dry and my daughter couldn't find any stilton in it, my husband's fish was not fresh and my youngest child is currently suffering from a severe stomach upset,... We went here for Sunday lunch and a drink. We had the Roast Lamb and the Roast Beef, both were typical Pub food quality and we enjoyed our meals. The staff were friendly and there was one Lady who gave excellent service. We paid £27 for 2 Sunday lunches a Pint of Beer and a large glass of Rose.

Walked to the falcon for a drink, ended up having several. Lovely quaint traditional pub in a nice quiet hidden village. Well worth a visit if in the area.

Super menu, wholesome food and generous portions. Bubble and smoke delicious, lamb burger super filling, crab brûlée a generous starter. Lots of atmosphere at this super country pub.
