Popped in for lunch. Interesting and varied choice of food available within a very pleasant atmosphere. The deli itself has a range of cheeses and home made pastries available alongside a range of other interesting foodstuffs and drinks. Find a table, peruse the menus and the boards around the establishment and order at the counter. Attentive and courteous staff. Popular... More

Found this little foodie gem quite by accident whilst passing through when we stopped for coffee and cake. So good we returned 2 days later for lunch. It didn't disappoint. The food was excellent. Best we've had in a while and a really good flat white coffee. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely go back even though... More

I was surprised by the lack of open tea shops on a Sunday in the area, so we had no option but to visit The Old Theatre Deli. Some lovely touches did not go unnoticed; blankets and hot water bottles to comfort the customers who opted to sit outdoors, we were lucky to have found a table indoors. While we... More

Popped in for a cup of tea. Young waitress was unsmiling. We sat at the table she had directed us to and waited and waited. When I asked when she would be serving us, she replied that there was no waitress service and that we had to order at the counter. Why could she not have suggested this to us,... More

This is a pleasantly busy local eatery. Small tables, cosy atmosphere (slightly too cramped). Pleasant decor, tables outside available. We just managed to get a table inside. Menu includes reasonable list for lunch of soups, salads and sandwiches. Wine list, few soft drinks, no beers. Several boards with specials. Ham sandwich (ploughmans) which was essentially two doorstops, decent ham, softened... More

Wow what an amazing place! We decided to try the Old Theatre Deli in Southwell after hearing so many glowing recommendations from friends in the area. We popped in for brunch and were blown away by the meal and ended up buying half the shop as everything is incredibly well sourced local or exceptional produce. We then hired the function... More

We just stopped for a sandwich and a cup of tea. The food was extremely fresh and the location on the corner of the two main streets was such that you could watch the world go by whilst relaxing over your meal.
