A superb place to eat French food

We had a wonderful meal here. Run by 2 brothers one the chef the other the head of house. I had a casselet of escargots. I love escargots Bourgogne but these were cooked with nuts and were extremely good and very unusual. Apparently it was from a recipe handed down from their grandmother. The veal... read more

Simple restaurant, nicely located, with the river on the backside, limited amount of dishes, but very rich taste! Waiters are weak in English and are not very friendly (because they are constant in a hurry).

First, the good news: the rognons de veau in a mustard and cream sauce was top drawer - perfectly cooked kidneys, plenty of rich sauce. The spaetzle that accompany the dish were crunchy and had been overcooked - lack of care here. It seemed that the entire restaurant's food orders were timed to arrive simultaneously - not enough kitchen staff.... More

We were sent here by our hotel. It was late and we weren't even sure they would serve us. Not only they did but the food was great and they did not rush us at all. The waitress was most pleasant. We were seated in their patio room by the floor to ceiling window overlooking the river Zorn. Lovely. My... More

Four of us decided to eat at this restaurant after the waiter summoned us to come in and sit on the covered verandah. All our dishes were simply wonderful, typical Alsatian cuisine of very high quality. The deserts were so beautifully presented and so, so good. So impressed, we went back the next day, and we were equally delighted. The... More

We had two nights in Saverne and dined here on both nights. The food was very good and the ambience very pleasant. We had been in France for 3 weeks and this was by far the best restaurant we had tried. The food was modern, delicious and very well presented.

Based on previous reviews on trip advisor and the recommendation of our hotel, we went to this restaurant. We have been traveling in France for 10 days. While in Paris we dined at a placed rated by Michelin as a ONE * Star. While the meal was great there, we enjoyed our experience and food much more at La Table... More

We hadn’t booked a table, so were extremely lucky to get a table on a Saturday night as this restaurant is extremely popular, mainly due to the high quality meals it serves. There was a great selection from the menu, plus chef’s specials. We were seated at a table in the downstairs section, overlooking the river, which was a lovely... More

I had a menu with snails, Jamboneau with rosted potetoes as a main dish, and for the end a crème brulé! The wine was very good and from the region.

We were seated at a table overlooking the clear water of the Zorn. The Barons are most hospitable and helpful. The casual, comfortable atmosphere led to patois with other diners, which was most delightful. Joel Baron made excellent wine suggestions. A few ducks went paddling by in the Zorn, en route to we knew not where. Our warm goat cheese... More
