I had the crab rice rolls, my guy crab tacos. I've never eaten crab so delicious. Staff sat and served us in amazing time Despite a packed mid.day period. No hype, just fab food.

The Crab Shack at Gorey (part of the Jersey Pottery empire) is a bastion of good fresh food. Fish is a speciality as is sea food. Good diversity of well priced wines on a modest sized list. What really tops it off is the spectacular view. We'll worth a visit all year round.

The last time I went into this establishment it was a Randalls Pub and it served really good food. Having been away from the island for some twelve years I thought it would be worth a look in. The menu looked impressive and my wife and myself ordered the following Jersey chancre crab in the shell Fish platter of smoked... More

Had melon and prawn today for £9.95. Expected a decent portion as I'm used to the Jersey Potteries melon and prawn which was so massive you couldn't eat all the prawns and only around £7 two years ago. The melon and prawn here was half a tennis ball sized melon and a tablespoon of prawns with a sprinkling of lettuce... More

Stopped here for lunch. Great view over Gorey. The food is certainly fresh, but nothing out of the ordinary for Jersey. Also, found being charged £3 for a lime cordial with soda water a bit unreasonable. Had a better experience at the St Brelades branch.

The hype around the place was good so booked a table. Ordered nibbles for starters which the waiter managed to drop, take away then return the same items. Wine grossly overpriced £17.45 for a bottle of modest Pinot Grigio that cost under a fiver in the supermarket. Food was all fried, I had chipsthat we're back heated,i.e. Had been pre-cooked,... More

Went after a walk round the castle having seen the ads on visitor maps. Bit 'pizza hut' feel to the place. As a shellfish lover -thought the Crab shack would be mecca! Expecting 'Crabby Jacks' (Guernsey) offering. Greatly disappointed with choice-no fresh crab (as seen on pics) or fruit de Mare platter. Portions small. Wouldn't recommend based on our visit.
