Gorgeous view. Very peaceful and great service - Patrick, especially, is wonderful. Good value for money - easily the nicest place we've eaten in Mauritius so far!

La Varangue has spectacular views to Le Morne and the sea. It is a barn of a place, and on the day we visited a near empty restaurant the service lacked warmth and felt grudging. Meals of wild boat and deer curry were good. Go for the view and be prepared to pay for it.

Warm welcomig, Resto is situated on the peak of chamarel village, 500 metres high, wooden complex.. Menu, local vegetables as entry, i liked the chicken in creole sauce, Mixed vanilla and frit ices as desert..Exotic food and drinks in a calm green natural space with cool local music as entertainment..

We went here after visiting more than 15 places mostly on the west coast of Mauritius. Each time having extremely good experiences in all the places we visited before, this is the first one where we left unsatisfied. First the prices were highest from anywhere we went before, even the more fancy restaurants. Ok, so the prices are higher but... More

We came here as part of a Summertime’s excursion in July, the three course meal was very good. We had a local vegetable gratin to start, a curry, rice and side dishes for main and ice cream to finish. The first two courses were well cooked & tasty, the staff are really friendly and do their utmost to make your... More

was absolutely spectacular! We were here as part of the Colourful South Tour & had a lovely 3 course lunch, drinks not included but they weren't expensive. We paid £63 pp for the tour & did loads of other stuff too & thoroughly enjoyed it all.

We were taken there as part of an excursion to the area so no idea as to menu costs as it was AI to us. Just the four of us sat gazing out at the spectacular views on an only just warm enough day In June. Having been given prior warning of a veggie in the party they came up... More

We stopped in this restaurant for some lunch as we made our way to chamarel. It's half way down the hill side with lovely views arcross the peninsula. We only wanted a snack but the menu consisted of dinner options so we choose a starter each. These were about £10 each and were not worth it, the prawns were more... More

We had two main courses and one portion of fish and french fries for the kid. And we were not at all impressed. For 20 EUR a plate, and 14 EUR for the kid's you'd expect something outstanding -- which simply wasn't the case. Waste of money, much better spent in, say, Le Chamarel.
