Don't get fooled by the entrance. It looks like a cheap cafe, but once you get to the basement a real treasure of a restaurant appears. Great food, great wine and perfect service surrounded by a perfect atmosphere.

We went there during ski days and off, and in both situations we had good food, fast service, excellent choice. The traditional valdotaine food is here presented with a touch of modern attention to image, and with a focus on taste, with exceptional cheese fontina used for the soup, well treated cured meat, good wine even by the glass. The... More

We stumbled on this the first afternoon we arrived and just kept coming back! Amazing local food like deer stew and cheesy polenta, delicious aperitivo buffet with their excellent pizzas and a great family dinner restaurant downstairs. Tons of highchairs, plenty of kid friendly food and great steak and veg dinner platters which fed the whole family (2 adults, 2... More

Don't confuse the unassuming sports bar upstairs as you walk through to the character and charm of the restaurant downstairs. We found it by surprise and we weren't disappointed. We were told it'd only been open for 9 months or so. There was a separate room behind a glass door, where we sat and found it very relaxing. You could... More

Another place we really like is this Bistrot, that has a more varied menu than many other places. I give it five dots even though is a bit less cozy than my favourite Le Sapin. We often have a capuccino here in the morning, but it's perfect also for an aperitivo: last time we went there was a very generous... More

Two distinct parts to Lo Bistro - Don't judge the downstairs restaurant by the upstairs bar/ cafe. Upstairs - Looks unatmospheric and is harshly lit, but serves well for early pre-slope coffees (free wifi) and is mobbed apres ski, unfortunately not in an Austrian party apres ski way (in fact Champoluc is depressingly devoid of any good party music style... Upstairs is a great bar, good beer, wine etc. friendly atmosphere, and fantastic "bar snacks" ie pizza, rizotto, pasta, cheese sauce, tapenade, crisps, popcorn, sausages, and all manner of other tasty stuff. Great place to discuss the day on the slopes, have a couple of beers, and take the edge off your hunger. Restaurant downstairs popular (make sure to book... More

Over numerous trips to Champoluc, this is always our favourite place, both to eat in the village, and for an apres ski Spritz. The range of snacks layed out at this time of day tells you everything you need to know about their hospitality!! The staff must be amongst the friendliest you will ever meet, after an injury this trip,... More
