Not bad

We had to wait for a long time. Menu was not very interesting. There was only grilled food. But all of wood were tasty.

Great setting down on the beach, just how a traditional Greek restaurant should be. So disappointing though, we ate there twice once for lunch and once for dinner. Half the items we enquired about on the menu weren't available, and we heard others asking for unavailable dishes too. Why have such a long menu when you can't supply half of... More

We sampled some of the local cycladian dishes in this friendly restaurant. The faba bean paste, soutzoukakia (meat balls), lamb chops and Greek salad were all up to standards with plenty of good olive oil. Good local wine for 6 euro (white) or 8 euro (red) a liter, or kilo as the Greeks measure. Minus points are: too many dishes... More

It looks lovely, right on the sand, under the trees. But the food was mediocre at best. The calamari was particularly bad, and fresh fish was limited and overpriced.

The only good aspect of this restaurant is that it has tables right on the beach. The food was bland and tasteless and considering that it is supposed to be a fish taverna, it left us wondering why they had none available.

We had our feet in the sand. We visited this place twice. First time was truly outstanding; the second was good but no better than other places in Kamares.

This is a family-run restaurant that pays tribute to their Grandfather who was a fisherman in the area. There are some interesting archival photos on the wall. We sat at a table on the beach, enjoying the ambiance of the evening and the breeze from the water. A friend from Belgium joined us and we shared many appetizers. The food... More

We really liked Captain Andreas! For its beachfront tables, traditional greek cuisine & ATMOSPHERE, extremely good and courteus service and no frills spirit. Real greek taverna for a fish, too. We made an exception and went twice!
