Sailing around the Greek Islands we anchored in Kamares. Looking for somewhere to eat we came across this true gem. 8 of us were accommodated without any fuss. The staff were very friendly and helpful - I think one of the waiters must have been one of the owners - he was passionate and knowledgeable about the menu. For the... More

Best kitchen I have tasted so far in Sifnos. Owners try to keep the heritage they delivered for the great Taelementes. They try and invent new tastes and plates all the time, based on the local natural products and herbs of the island. Price per person for one plate, salad and a drink is around 20 to 30 euros. Not... We read the trip advisor reviews and went to Absinthe for a dinner and wow the food was delicious. They have traditional dishes from Sifnos as well as some more international options. The terrace has a fantastic view to Kamares port. Try to seat on the front tables where the view is even better. It is more expensive than the... More

An intriguing menu, delightful food and a warm, friendly atmosphere combined to make our evening at Absinthe the culinary highlight of a week spent sailing through the Cyclades. Give Absinthe a try, you will not be disappointed!

We ate here twice. Both times service and food were excellent, waiter with the beard knew his menu and most helpful in selection of the food that was different to the typical taverna offerings. A little more expensive but well worth it.

Having read good reviews and hearing from friends of friends, we were looking forward to this restaurant to cap off our stay in lovely Sifnos. We were a big group, well accommodated and welcomed by a friendly and professional staff. The menu is interesting, offering both traditional and innovative Greek dishes, along with several selections to suit anyone looking to... More

Dear honored guest, Thank you for dining at Absinthe.Your long and labored review was a welcome with its positive feedback and an opportunity for me to explain the minor negative aspects of your dining experience here. We'll begin with the tomatoes and the majority of vegetables that are "imported" and consumed on this island. Yes,imported, since there is very little... More
