Nice location book a table early to enjoy sunsets over the bay.

The traditional Greek items interspersed with variations of other Middle Eastern dishes makes for interesting and unusual choices. The goat is delicious as is the baked rice with mushrooms, berries and nuts. My husband had the clay pot baked lamb dish and it was excellent. We went back on our last evening for a seafood meal and my husband had... More

Been there several times and never disepointed. Tried the seared tuna, spicy Goas and the rib eye was to die for. Also the house speciells for Smyrna was delicous! And today is our last day here we will meet up With new friends and have another great dinner. We can't wait til we'll be back next year!

Returning to Sifnos again, Absinthe was waiting for me and I was warmly welcomed back. What a pleasure to feel so well looked after, taking in the beautiful decor (now with a new pretty balcony lattice) and the amazing view. Next to my Classical Greek favorites like the taramasalata , melizanosalata and their refreshing summer salads I really loved the... More

This is the first time that we patronized this restaurant on Sifnos. As far as restaurants go in the village of Kamares it is on the "high end". The decor, presentation and wait staff were all very nice and the food did not disappoint us at all. There are many fine restaurants along the beach here which serve excellent food... More

Saw the excellence rating and went in but regreted it from tha start! The menu was too much, owners trying to justify why the prices were so high by inventing all sorts of dishes that in the end gave nothing back. Too many spices that did not blend in, very expensive main courses of poor quality. The service was chaotic,... More

Not greek food. Owner is of Asia Minor origin, migrated but canada. So its fusion food. If you are looking for authentic fare, look elsewhere. Locatoin wise, its across the street from the beach. Mushroom rice dish is good. Dont order the chicken rice with spice- not greek, not indian and not good. But nice salad, good vegetable dishes,

Dear roadhotel It is clearly stated on our site and menu( both outdoors and in) that our cuisine is Greek/ Middle Eastern. I am sure that you were well aware of this fact since it is very plain to see and figure out what is which by reading our menu. If you were looking for "authentic island food", why did... More

Loveky salad. Tasty goat. When I first came there were no free tables, but they reserved a first row table for me on a Saturday, even though I was only one person. Great gesture. Felt well looked after!

Had an unforgettable travel to Sifnos at the beginning of June 2015 and was dining at Absinthe restaurant every night for almost two weeks. This is a superb restaurant in every aspect, having a wide selection of perfectly prepared meals from Greek, Mediterranean, Asia Minor and American cuisine, an outstanding chef, a very professional and friendly staff, a classy environment,...
