One of the best coffee breaks!

Just had a great coffee and Apple pie, while enjoying the beautiful view and watching the locals and tourists pass on their way up or down the village! A cozy place! Duck with ginger, eggplant in pot, bamboo slices with tomatoes and a bottle of local beer: a tasty local dinner with a good price (about 120¥). We have tried two homemade liqueurs (pls, see photos): snake wine and bee wine (alcoholic like as vodka). Terrific!!! :) The owner is friendly and professional, the place is cute and... More

We tried some of the most delicious local specialties at Green Garden, and this was one of my 9 year-olds favorite restaurants on our whole trip to the Guilin area. The Bamboo Chicken is well worth the wait! And toffee apples and bananas are now one of our favorite desserts!

We ate twice at the Green Garden and thoroughly enjoyed our meals on both occasions. Bamboo rice, stir fried noodles, sizzling beef, sweet and sour chicken, toffee bananas, they were all amazing. Add in an owner/chef and his wife who were very personable and friendly (Danni, the owner, has a lovely sense of humour and loves to chat away and... More

We had dinner there and did not expect much but to our surprise it was one of the best meals we had while in China. We had Bamboo Rice , green veg and a chicken with peanuts. Followed by toffee banana .

The good: friendly service; clean; imported Belgian beer(!!); every dish meticulously prepared; The bad: it could take some time before you get your meal (especially if busy), so be prepared and order early. The tip: they have some excellent hunanese chilli sauce pickled with fish!

Our guide recommended the restaurant which was just down from our hotel. After stopping in on the way to the hotel to reserve a table, later the restaurant called our guide and asked if the kids would like some pasta for dinner, if so he could make some fresh pasta now that they didn't have to wait long when we... Our tour guide recommended this restaurant and we were so glad he did. We had curry chicken, fried rice, and eggplant which was all delicious. We sat on the balcony overlooking the dim lights of the village below. Thankful they stayed open late as we did not arrive until after 9 pm. Highly recommend.

Very nice food in combination with very cold belgian beer (Duvel, Maredsous, Vedett, Liefmans). Price between 4 - 6 euro for a beer but since it is importbeer not so expensive. We had sizzling beef and some more chinese food, also bambou chicken.
