Basically a mixed grill consisted of just 3 meats no salad or no beans nothin apart from an egg on top of the meats on the most smallest mixed grill plate I've ever seen... for £17 it was very poor for the price.

I ate at The Bell recently and ordered the fish and chips off their lunch deal menu. The fish was rather small and covered in a soft batter, it may well have been kept warm under a lamp, there certainly wasn't any crispness to it. The chips were fine and the garden peas excellent! I had the apple crumble for... More

We booked a table to eat in the restaurant as the food looked right up our street. Proper pub food. The bar staff were excellent and our waitress was very friendly and efficient. We enjoyed the food and the chips. It was a enjoyable experience and we would visit again.

We stopped here for a bite to eat yesterday on our way back from Coventry to Bristol and had a lovely meal in the superb garden. This is simply a fantastic pub for kids as there is a lovely well maintained play area out the back with plenty of grass for them to run about on as well as a... More

Very pleasant setting - sat outside overlooking the village green and cricket square. Menu was pretty traditional and prices average. We had nachos and bread and olives to start ( they must have been running out of bread!) mains were chicken burger, gammon and chicken fajita. The chicken was the best of the bunch but all the meals were OK.... More

It took 5-10 mins waiting at bar to get a menu. Another 10 mins wait to order food. We were advised of a 40 min wait for food. After a 50 min wait we ask a waiter who said it would be another 5 mins. 15 mins later (1 hour and 5 mins since ordering food) our food arrived. It... More

Walked into the bar and asked for the menu.Being on my own it was pointless also giving me the sharing menu.Basic standard middle of the road, nothing remotely radical chips with most things menu. Not a good start. The barman forgot to advise me that there was a specials blackboard at the rear of the restaurant up some steps. Not realising there was... More

We often eat here when coming back on the M5. It's position on the green is very picturesque and in the summer you can often watch the cricket match too! The Inn has lots of character and the food is always good .

Came here with 6 family members. It was steak night so the pub was relatively busy but not too much. I didn't have the steak but several others did, saying is was very nice and cooked just how they wanted it. I had the Brie for my starter; it was very tasty and I could honestly have had another! For... More
