A few hours ago, I met up with a friend for a drink at this pub, we then walked about five miles along the canal towards Sharpness, coming back via the lower swing bridge to an excellent late lunch. I couldn't believe the quality of food and service we got for so little money. About four starters, five mains and two puds to chose from. We had one fish-cake starter with generous salad and large, very juicy wedge of lemon; two very adequate baked cod with ratatouille and new potatoes (couldn't finish all the potatoes); and the first brown-bread... We went to the Bell for Mother's day to have an early evening meal. The food was good, but the service was terrible. We were clearly on the 'invisible' table. It took over 30 minutes for them to take our order and they weren't even busy at that time. No one asked us if we wanted more drinks and I... More

We went to the bell for a change as we like to try local places. After looking at the website I saw that they do both a bistro and a restaurant menu and noticed a couple of favourites on the restaurant menu which swung my decision to book. The building is very impressive and its situated looking over a lovely... More

Following a good walk along the canal tow path this was a great place to pick up a late Sunday lunch. Excellent eg of lamb and well prepped veg, great roasties and good, thick gravy. The vegetarian lasagne came with veg AND well cooked chips.. almost too much food and we baulked at a pud. Very welcoming bar staff and... More

This would not normally be our first choice of venue, but as our party was booked by a guest that spoke highly of it, we attended. From reception on arrival to leaving, it was faultless. The staff were inviting and welcoming. 2 people of our party of 4 were residents. They had stayed before and were not disappointed! The food... More

I've recently started courting, after a prolonged break, and decided on trying out The Bell as it is in a picturesque village and I have had good experiences at other pubs in the same chain. We were warmly welcomed in to the bar area by a friendly gent and I felt the atmosphere was just right for a nice relaxed... More

Having my father for Christmas and his 80th Birthday being on boxing day I decided to look for a Restaurant half way between Gloucester and Cardiff, we came up with the village of Frampton on Seven supposedly with the largest village green in the Country. After looking at at several listing close to the village in the area we choose... More

Food was lovely, the waitress by the name of Georgie I believe, was incredibly rude, disinterested and lazy. She diverted all her attention to her mobile and left other waitresses and bar staff doing her job for her. Food was very good. Lovely variety for all my family and generally a very inviting and friendly place.

Came to the bell with my friends, 6 of us in total, for a New Year's Day meal, arrived around 7pm, the welcome we received from the very dapper young barman, (loved the bow tie) was very professional and accommodating, they had a good range of ales on tap, which my friend was very pleased about! (He loves his ale)... More
