Nice view ok food

I have frequented this place a few times when staying in cairns each year as I really enjoy the view. Drinks are good. Food ok but id steer away from the seafood. Seems to be frozen fried stuff ( Ive tried a seafood basket and fish burger ) wasn't great. Chicken Parmi is good as are the nacos! Will... read more

Disappointing lunch. The waitresses did not know their menu nor food products. Was informed from one waitress, that the calamari was frozen, then next one, informs you that they are fresh. The sizes vary, no set standards. Very slow service, poor quality food, not worth your money.

I appreciate that my overall rating is average and yet I call this place a treasure but bear with me. This truly is a little gem because of it's location. It sits on a protected inlet just north of Cairns and to the south of Trinity Beach where we were staying. There is a huge north facing timber deck where... More

Had dinner on Saturday (3 of us). Unfortunately, it seems the restaurant does not even provide what is on the menu! The Driftaway waitress was given our order of 1 chicken schnitzel and we requested vegetables and potato bake in lieu of coleslaw and chip! Nope - can't do that! So we order rumps instead. We also (as per the... More

We loved the menu at The Boat Club..... that was up until recently when things including the menu changed for the worse. All the menu items that made this place stand out and be suitable for anyone any time are gone. Its a small, everyday menu that belongs more in a quickie cafe style eatery in town than a place... The location is absolutely prime on the waterfront on a decking underneath a well maintained canopy. Hence, one would expect a great dining experience with quality food to boot, but we were wrong. We visited there Friday before last where they were serving a whole lobster for $35 under their "Lobster Friday" special which my wife immediately ordered being a... More

Wrong order, slow service and no gluten free breakfast. Beautiful setting if I could take my own food...

As a local, whenever visitors come to Cairns, this is a great spot to sit on the deck & watch the sun go down. A great experience if you don't wish to stay and eat. The table had 4 adults and 2 children. No-one finished their food. I had the Parma with 2 cold prawns & the chicken was so... More

Beautiful watching the sunset over the water and a great atmosphere. Great seafood and Parma. Kids well looked after with kids play centre and $10 meals that include ice cream and soft drink.

My partner and I experienced a very pleasant Sunday afternoon lunch and live music at this club. It is situated in an idyllic setting around a lovely boating Marina with fantastic vies out to sea with Palm Cove, Double Island and Scout Hat island all in view. We spent nearly 4 hours there mainly due to the relaxed ambience and... More
