Slow Service and Terrible Food

Upon arriving we were seated and given menus. We ordered drinks and recived them about 15mins later. After waiting another half an hour, with no service to the table an empty drinks we stopped a waiter. We were very dissapointed to find out a boat club had run out of oysters! The situation is lovely, overlooking the Harbour, Breakwall and open Sea. The soaring, tented roof, over the Restaurant area promotes the Marine style ambience. Large Fans give additional coolth when the sea breezes are insufficient. It's just a cracking place to be - whether you are there for Drinks or a Meal - or both. We thoroughly enjoyed our Lunches,... We were booked as a group of 7 for dinner, but ended up being 8. It wasn't busy in the restaurant. We had gone to the bar to order drinks & 2 garlic breads had been ordered via the servery. The waiter who came to the table & took our order had a supervisor assisting him. (We were later told... More

Had dinner here with great friends and I could have stayed forever... Great food, friendly service, and a fabulous setting if you love boats. This is a must do again on my return

We were here a couple of weeks ago, I had the Fish and Chips and my husband had the Seafood Basket. Both delicious with huge portions. The service was nice and friendly.

Well presented and good value food, on good quality plates and good quality cutlery. The casual/bistro style outdoor deck restaurant, over looking the marina, mountain and ocean, has become more efficient with hand held devices to take your table order instead of lining up to order. On Sunday It had a live relaxing band till 5ish. Staff were smartly dressed... More

The kindest thing that I can say about this place is "the cutlery is great". You can stand in a queue for 20 minutes to order your meals and then not have the order taken because YOU do not have a table number. They can't give you a number when you order, like in 99% of places up here. Staff... More

We have been meaning to visit for ages and finally did. We had a large group and rang 30 minutes before to check for a reservation. The view is spectacular so lunch is great just for that but in our group of 9 everyone was happy with their meals, and the waitress was very happy to consult with the chef... More

Service was good, food was wonderful, ambience lovely & the two kookaburras hanging around the edge of the overhead sails canopy were obviously "locals" (very cute!) Would definitely eat here again.

I am an ex Yorkey's resident and the Boat Club used to be one of my regular haunts. Great views and location, however service can be hit or miss. Also don't expect club prices, they are more in line with a normal bar. Also Food can be very expensive, also inconsistent, sometimes very good other times not!
