Service----OH SO SLOW

We visited this establishment Feb 8 at 5pm and were told to sit ourselves down. We had a 4 year old with us and we were hoping to be out reasonably quickly. NO CHANCE! We ordered a starter of warm bread and olives and it took 25 minutes to serve us with 4 slices of bread and a small bowl... read more

We went to this establishment and the food was sent back twice. I have to say i hardly give bad reviews but i did not like it one bit. The decor is really good though as a pub ..

Having been to this restaurant in the past, I knew that they keep a proportion of their tables back for "walk-ins" which was ideal for calling in on spec. We waited only a minute or two for a table despite the restaurant being busy. We were seated at an internal table which at first sight looked as though it was... More

We normally give positive feedback for this establishment, but on this occasion we feel the need to report our negative findings. Firstly on arrival our drinks order was taken only to find out that Vintage Inns higher management had taken the decision to replace popular draft beer such as John Smiths and Carling Lager and replace with less popular brands... Visited here on January 28th. Waited ages to be given a menu.Everyone seemed to wait ages for courses to arrive. It's a shame because the venue is very nice. Complained on the way out and asked to see the manager who didn't seem particularly bothered. He said they had more people than normal on a Thursday night. I would have thought... More

Chose food from the lunchtime menu which has a decent choice. The food was fine and service was good. The surroundings are very nice with plenty of seating choices. Would certainly have no reservations in recommending this venue to others.

The Church Mouse has definitely improved since our last visit two years ago. We called in about 2.30 pm with grandchildren. Although quite busy we were given a table immediately. Drinks were brought and order given promptly. The food was hot and well presented and plates cleared by everyone.! The staff were very friendly and helpful and will certainly return.

me and partner ordered from main menu; in general food was at best ok. As for the fresh chips; wow, I have had better oven chips. Service was good but it is way over priced-not much better than a Brewsters style cook jn a bag food. pretty disappointing. Nice atmoslhere and desserts very good. Won't be rushing back once I... I can't thank the staff of the church mouse too much. They were excellent And here's why. !! Last night my family and I had booked Le Raaj next door for a meal to celebrate my birthday. They had overbooked and had no table for us so we left. Upon ringing the church mouse they did not hesitate to provide... More

We ate at the restaurant on 19th January. The décor is very pleasing with a nice open fire. We found the service to be excellent. On the food front I have to say the food was average. One issue that we did have was one of our guests ordered lamb done three ways. The lamb chops were clap cold and... More
