We were a bit worried about our meal at the Church Mouse on new years eve however our fears were unfounded. Despite being extremely busy the service was brilliant and our meal was gorgeous, the staff were attentive and courteous.

Joined friends for a post christmas meal at this restaurant . It was our first visit & was a wonderfully relaxed afternoon. The food was delicious, beautifully presented & of a high standard. The staff were polite, pleasant & attentive & we will certainly be visiting again.

Average chicken pie, below average chips, not too bad a place, beer fair, staff OK. I just can't find anything enthusiastic to say, just another boring, bland chain-style pub.

Went today 30th December, having went to The Badger, Newcastle last week, we thought we would go here as its the same chain, very disappointed, We bought exactly the same meals as we got from The Badger, the pubs were just as full as each other, so thats no excuse for such a lengthy wait, and such a difference in... If you wish to be ignored by the staff and wait 2 hours for food before finally leaving hungry and annoyed - come here. Absolutely pathetic attempt at running a pub. Terrible service. It took 45 mins for a menu to be given a further half an hour for our order to be taken then nearly 2 hours for our... More

A group of 7 of us girls went for a meal here on 23rd December as we wanted somewhere with a festive feel so we could have our Christmas get together. Having been here before a few times 2 and 3 Christmasses ago I remembered the lovely festive look of the place and enjoying my food here so was quite... More

Table booked for 5.30. Plenty tables but I would always recommend booking. Atmosphere lovely with the open fire and 'old pub' feeling. Staff leave you alone but are nearby if needed. Food was lovely.

This pub has a very nice rustic atmosphere, the fire and decor make it a nice place to have a drink. There is a good selection of drinks at average prices. The food is good, pub food and reasonably priced.

I booked a table to meet a friend on the Saturday before Christmas. We had a wonderful table close to a roaring fire, the Christmas decorations were wonderful and the food.......................... well we ate from the festive menu and it was amazing. Two course later I could hardly move!. We were not hurried along and were able to enjoy a... More

I booked a table for 6.30 as it was for my birthday. My partner and I arrived a few minutes early. We were shown our seat by a lovely young lady who then sorted out our drinks. Throughout the ordering process we were served by Brad. He was very attentive but left us to enjoy our eating and drinking experience.... More
