The Chef, The Waiter, and the Taxi Cab Driver

We were picked up at our resort and delivered to the Grill. We were able to sit on the patio and look out over the beautiful ocean and watch the sunset. I had their tuna and my husband had the surgeon plates. Both were excellent. The Chef was also the waiter and our taxi cab driver. A great... read more

The chef opened for a few couples on a Sunday night when he is normally closed. We were thankful to have a great meal prepared by him. The menu was offered on a chalkboard based on what was fresh, and we could tell all of the fish and vegetables were never frozen. Great experience all around.

We were diving at 6 Passengers, and came here for lunch every day. Whilst we initially only wanted a snack, we are so pleased they do not do snacks. We ate perfectly grilled fish every day, it was delightful. The service was super too. After a few days, we didn't even need to order. They saw us coming and our... More

home cooked fish dinner, very fresh, nothing fancy but good. It was kind of funny to go in the Kia Ora van with other Kia Ora guests, and we were the only ones there. It seems to be a nice little mom and pop restaurant that basically serves Kia Ora.

We literally stumbled across this restaurant while kayaking. We were treated to the best meal of our trip. The fish was extremely fresh and excellently prepared. We are on a deck over-looking the ocean. And the proprietors were delightful. We had a very fun afternoon!

Good quantity of food but very limited menu (e.g., fish or meat). No wine menu. The food was cool not hot and only average in tastiness. I would never return to this restaurant.

We ate here twice during a 6 night stay on the island. The chef/owner collected us from our hotel and dropped us back again after we'd eaten. On both occasions the food was very good and washed down by good wine. The menu is relatively small but changes to suit the availability of produce.

Looking for a night out of the hotel, we chose to have dinner at the Lagoon Grill. The owner will pick you up and bring you back to your hotel. A friendly service the we gratefully used. Unfortunately it was already dark outside when we arrived, so we couldn't enjoy the view but did have a seat on the nice... More

Normally, this restaurant should have received a 5-ranking rate in all categories, but this is not the case thanks to the poor attitude of the staff, particularly the owner. First of all, let me tell you that it is not mandatory that all couples spending some holidays in the French Polynesia have to take a full dinner with starter, main,... More
