We had a terrific dinner here. We enjoyed it so much that we went back for lunch. French Catalan cuisine with a nice selection of local wines.

Friendly welcome, food good but rather small portions for amount charged. For the menu at 29 euros we started with a few anchovies on a thin piece of pastry with a small, but tasty salad, followed by 3 very tiny pieces of cod (a few centimetres across), with a lovely sauce and a few vegetables, 2 thin slices of local... Last Friday night in March and Villefranche looked as if everyone had closed up and gone away - which could be possible as there are only 150 residents! La Senyera was open. We were the first there, but it gradually filled as we ate. Excellent food with a good choice and dishes that were innovatively presented. Very good regional wine... More

It was full but without reservation we were found a table. The menu was varied and appetizing at a reasonable price. Service was provided by a charming and attractive (whoops…personal bias creeping in there) waitress and the overall evening was very enjoyable.

Thoroughly recommend this restaurant. Outstanding food for the price you pay. We had the 27 Euro menu plus the enfant menu. The food was delicate, very tasty, good portion size and beautifully presented. Intricate combinations of ingredients, nicely balanced using local specialities, meat and vegetables. The wine too (we had a 14Euro Corbierre) was also excellent - full bodied. I'd... More

Authentic Catalan restaurant. We had booked our table on line after reading reviews on this site and had a quick reply which also confirmed we could take our dog despite the lack of a terrace. We stayed the night in Prades but decided Villefranche was a more interesting place to eat - we were not disappointed. A bright and colourful... More

The entire meal was amazing! The service was excellent. We had the prix fix menu and it was a LOT of food! definitely worth the price but we could have easily split one appetizer and skipped dessert ( although what fun is that?) the price was totally reasonable. One of our favourite meals in France!

This is one of the best restaurants we have found in the region and have had a number of excellent meals there on our own and with friends. Strange days for opening so check it out first of all. Probably gets very busy in the tourist season, but it has a lot of locals which has to be a good... More
