Our first visit to Origins will not be our last. The warm atmosphere and friendly attention preceded dishes from an imaginitive menu presented with modern flair. The tapas style portion sizes were excellent and the wine menu served us admirably. There is no draught real ale on offer, but the short range of known bottled beers had something to please.... Visited this restaurant on a wet and windy lunch time and found it full. The staff said we could eat at the bar which we were happy with. Due to the staff being very busy it did take about 10 minutes to get our order in and a bit longer to get the food. The food was OK. For the... More

Every now and then Origins puts on something special with new tasting menu and fine wines selected to go with each course. A great selection of starters, seafood, beef, pork and fish followed by perfectly made and excellent tasting dessert. Hopefully we will some of these new dishes making an appearance on future new menus! Another great value night.

We went for a quick tapas lunch, and we're very impressed by the imaginative menu, neat tidy decor and friendly staff. The service was excellent, and the food was lovely. We particularly appreciated he chef's willingness to be flexible over the dessert sharing platter. Would definitely return, with the rest of the family

We attended a special Tapas and Wine Evening at Origins and couldn't believe how fabulous the evening was. We were introduced to seven different taste sensations with accompanying wine and the flavours and execution of the menu was amazing. I wasn't keen on the idea of Tapas as a meal but we were full to bursting with so many different... More

14 of us went and we had a great meal. Lovely selection of Tapas. Two of us also stayed the night as it is a B&B as well. The room are perfectly good, the ensuite albeit a bit small was fine for a night. We appreciated the mini fridge with fresh milk for our first cup of coffee in the... More

Stopped here for Saturday lunch and were very pleasantly surprised. Inventive dishes beautifully cooked and presented. Monkfish wrapped in bacon with samphire, guineafowl with red onion and spiced chili chocolate sauce (which worked great), charcoal grilled veg and halloumi, and spinach, ricotta and parmesan pancake wheels -plus v good flat bread. Stylish, and all for about £30. Good atmosphere -... More

Not the sophisticated place I was expecting. This is the only place I have been in years where I struggled to find anything I liked on the menu as did my 3 friends. The place was very very lively - not sure if they have a club there but lots of drunk girls falling over and swearing. I didn't know... More

Just had the most amazing and delicious meal , I'm not usually a fan of tapas but I was so inspired by the menu i was completely happy to share ,all the food exceeded our expectations. I suppose the service wasn't the quickest but the quality of the food and wine wasn't the type you could rush so it was... More
