Best breakfast in Taganga

They baked fresh sourdough bread everyday and had homemade pesto. The staff was lovely and helpful but bit slow... But you should not be in a rush in Taganga. Coffee was okay but the best you can find in Taganga... We went there for coffee every morning...

Wonderful fresh earthy breads and sandwiches for a traveler in a homey setting Excellent coffees. Be prepared to communicate in Spanish, if the owner is not present. You can pick up orders also.

Great place. As a dane, that hasn't had rye bread for 4 months while travelling, it was amazing to have again!

We were introduced to Cafe Bonsai by our dive instructor and visited countless times in the next two weeks. The food is fantastic! We especially loved the sandwiches, which are all made with homemade bread that they actually bake fresh in ovens just outside the cafe. The breakfasts are also great - try the granola and yoghurt. Delicious drinks too,... More

We went here when we first got to Taganga and were pleased with the veg options. Service was slow and the place was a bit unkempt, but it's hard to find anything that's really got that "clean" feeling in Taganga. The second day we came back and ordered again the grilled veggies, and were sick that night. Can't be sure... More

Dear Vanessa, Thank you for your review. We are sorry that you found the service slow. Being a small cafe, it sometimes takes us a little longer to serve our guests, especially when it comes to our grilled dishes. As to the place being "unkempt": we are a cafe that is open from 8 to 22:30, along a dusty street... More

We visited this place while in Tanganga multiple times for breakfast. The breakfast comes with juice and coffee making it excellent value for money. They also bake their own sourdough bread which tastes amazing. The owner is also a cool guy!

I came here twice in the same day, after diving with our instructor... Great coffee, friendly people and atmosphere, and the frozen mojitos were amazing, especially after a long day. We each had 3! Unfortunately, the place was quite crowded at dinner, so we waited a very long time for our veggie BBQ, which then came at room temp. But,... More
