Still the best Indian restaurant in the area!

After many years of eating Indian food, I can safely say that 'The Last Viceroy' is still the best in the area! All dishes are full of flavour and not a hint of colouring in sight. Very friendly service and great for takeaways as well. You wont be disappointed.

A few Sundays ago we had our traditional weekend curry in this restaurant for the first time. Although the food was not knock-your-socks-off, it was very nice and the service was really excellent. Plenty to eat for us vegetarians as well!

We were taken out for a meal here by our daughter, who lives locally We had mixed grill and lamb biryani. All were beautifully cooked and presented to us. I cannot give the staff enough praise for making it a lovely celebration of hubby's birthday. They looked after us like royalty. And did I mention that the food was fabulous... More

I have always found this restaurant quite good, but on two occasions have booked well in advance only to arrive and no table was available for my friend and I. It appears that they are greedy for business and overbook, and hope that you will wait 20 to 30 mins for a table to become available. Not the way to... More

This was our first visit. We went in for a quick meal and ordered main courses, rice and tap water. We were asked about starters. No just the mains please was our reply. We were then asked about poppadoms. Again, no just the mains please was our reply. How about rice or side dishes? At this point we politely said... More

Last minute booking on a Tuesday evening and was reasonably busy. Poppadom and chutneys whilst we decided what to order. Fresh onion salad and a good mixed pickle were spot on. I had lamb methi (Madras hot), bringal bharji and a keema naan. Wife ordered Chicken byriani and saag paneer. 2 waiters looked after us. 1 older chap that mumbled... More

We do love this restaurant - we have been coming here with our very good friends who live nearby for many years. The food is consistently good especially the chicken jalfreizi which we have everytime we come - just can't resist. It is full of friendly locals and people from far away - we have friends from Dublin who, whenever... More

Exquisite food, wonderful atmosphere, extremely friendly staff and management and clearly a most popular eating venue in Bourne which I have frequented for some 25 years now.

Very popular local Indian restaurant and the takeaways are always lovely - but eating in on a Friday night wasn't a great experience. Might just have been an off night but our food was lukewarm and mine was actually completely tasteless. Will stick to takeaways I think - however it was very very busy so perhaps we were just unlucky.
