A Dolly Parton evening with meal

The entertainment was outstanding, the food was delicious and well presented but the service was very slow to our table - I think, in part, because the restaurant was very full and very busy. The staff are lovely. We'll certainly be visiting again.

Have eaten here a few times but not for a while. Good quality food especially known for fish dishes. Imaginative specials. If possible ask for a window seat if going during daylight. Service is always good and courteous

Took mum-in-law for lunch on Saturday, didn't think to book & restaurant full. Lots of apologies from very friendly staff who directed us to table in bar area. This was fine, in fact much quieter than restaurant would have been & suited our needs. Menu had nice variety of sandwiches & a few cooked dishes, including "light bites" smaller portions.... More

Had a lovely meal here last night. Food really good, wine excellent, best chardonnay ive ever tasted. Staff friendly. Went through to pub area afterwards. My favourite pub restaurant in wirral. Would recommend.

a member of our family was celebrating a Birthday so seven of us met for Sunday Lunch. We had booked well ahead and had a table in the conservatory. The food was excellent with an extensive menu. The staff were very attentive and they coped very well as the restaurant was full. The restaurant is right on the front with... More

3 course dinner tonight for 2 including a bottle of wine and a Michael Buble tribute act for £54. Of course we ended up paying much more for extras and gratuity but that is optional.Food quality and limited choice for each course were just fine in fact we were both spoiled for choice. Hot food was served hot and for... More

We arrived just after midday on a Sunday. The welcome was warm and the service immediately friendly as well as efficient. We opted for roast dinners - at £12.50 it was worth every penny as it was truly delicious (we had lamb and beef) and filling. Despite this we also managed a dessert each (sticky toffee pudding and chocolate brownies)... More

Twelve members of our family met up for Sunday lunch. We sat in the conservatory in the very full restaurant. good atmosphere and very good food. Our dishes ranged from the beef roast dinner, fish pie, steak burger, steak and kidney pie - all came together (for a large group there was no waiting for the final dish). The service... More

set up more as a restaurant than a pub with an extensive menu. Very hard working staff and perfectly good higher class pub food in a relaxed atmosphere, cosy atmosphere in winter.

My wife and I visited The Boathouse last summer and were very impressed. When we were thinking about where to go for a Valentine's meal we immediately thought of this place. It is a beautiful half-timbered black and white building located right on the riverside overlooking the River Dee & North Wales. Inside the restaurant is tastefully decorated and has... More
