We visited The Boathouse for lunch, we requested a table by the window when booking and our wish was granted. It was very busy when we arrived which is always a good sign. There was a warm welcome when we arrived and we were promptly taken to our table. The waitress was very pleasant and very knowledgeable about the menu... More

My bf had heard good things about the boathouse so we had a look at the menu online and it enticed us to drop in on bank holiday Monday just gone I ordered the special - chicken topped with goats cheese tomatoes with a tomato risotto. The chicken was a bit chewy in places other than that the dish as... More

Went in March 2014 after booking online and not realising that evenings were so expensive. First comment from partner, who I was treating, was "wow ... Expensive". And it was. Nice setting and incredibly busy considering the price tag. I thought the £90 bill for two was in no way justified for the mediocre meals we had. I had fish,... More

We had an excellent meal last night at the Boathouse, Parkgate. The view over the estuary was beautiful with the setting sun. The Boathouse was busy but that didn't stop the excellent service. And the food, the pork rolls and eggs benedict to start, followed by turf and surf and sea bass, cooked to perfection.

We with my partner on a busy Saturday night for dinner. Although every table was full the ambience was lovely with a mixture of couples and adult families; table not too close together, real candles on the tables and a beautiful view of the sunset over the dee Estuary. The menu is well laid out and extensive with something to sit... More

We met family here for a late lunch on a beautiful hot sunny day.We got a table by the window overlooking tne estuary which was stunning and despite a few flies and wasps which is to be expected being right on the bank with the doors open the temperature inside wasn't too bad.Gorgeous cold icy drinks and a good lunchtime... Stopped for a mid week pub lunch when it was quiet. Fortunately the sun was shining so the decking area was open and we had the pleasure of wonderful views across the Dee estuary. Good menu choice with sandwiches, light bites and a full a la carte. We opted to share a sandwich, duck wraps and some truffle/Parmesan chips. Everything... More

I really love this restaurant because it is particularly good for people with disabilities, like my mum. Staff are very friendly and understanding. There are fantastic views and the food is excellent. My 87 year old man can find simple things that she likes whilst I really enjoy the high standard of cuisine. I can never get further than ordering... More

Hard to fault this place, lovely inside very friendly staff and the most amazing views across the estuary. Stopped for lunch had a rump steak which was cooked well and a fine piece of meat, as well as being a fair price. Tuesday afternoon, but the place was buzzing, pretty much fully booked up. One minor complaint? I ended up... More
