Sunday lunch

Good atmosphere. Had to wait a while for the main course but they were busy and my meal was worth waiting for - champ and pork belly - delicious. Pleasant and attentive staff.

Went here a few days ago and was not impressed. I had asked when booking if we would be in the main restaurant, (as there is also a bar area), and was told we would. On arrival they tried to seat us in a dead end corridor away from the restaurant with one seat that was like a church pew... More

We have visited the restaurant on many occasions but came away tonight with doubts whether we will go to this restaurant again. Food was good but the service was abysmal. We ordered a bottle of Foxcover wine, our main meal come but no wine. On asking, the waitress went away and came back to say this wine had been sold... More

We have spent a lot of money over the years at this restaurant and it was always a special place to go for a real treat, we registered our email address with them on a visit there a year or so back and then started to receive special offers and vouchers to come and enjoy a meal, we found that... On a day trip house hunting in the area we called in (on a Sunday lunchtime) to see if we could get sandwiches. Huge freshly made sandwiches were duly served. We went back for a meal (in between viewings). Service was brilliant, although they were extremely busy they were aware of our limited timeframe and did everything possible to accommodate... More

We've been here a couple of times now, mainly because of the lovely view from the conservatory. However, on both occasions, whilst the food has been great, the service hasn't met my expectations. We've waited long times for orders to be taken and have actually had to chase the bill and go in search of the card machine to be... More

My husband and I always enjoy our meals here. We love the atmosphere and the views are fabulous. Family friendly but need to think of children a little more as little people get bored easily!

We popped in for lunch over the Christmas period. They were busy but able to accommodate six of us. We all have an enjoyable varied meals off their lunch menu. The local ice cream was lovely.

We were disappointed with our recent visit. We'd had a long walk and were ravenous, but decided to wait for an available table at 2pm. Unfortunately it took 30 mins for one soup to arrive, and another hour for our main courses to arrive, other tables appeared to be waiting too. Slow to clear away one starter plate, and no... More
