A simply decorated, warm atmosphere gastropub which did nearly everything about as well as could be hoped for to ensure a romantic dinner this week. The scallops and mussels to start were great. My sirloin was perhaps very slightly overdone for medium-rare, but was as tender as anything. The lemon sole was delicious. Food and drink overall were fairly priced... More

Lovely, friendly atmosphere, but quiet enough to go on a date. Amazing gastropub food but with decent sized portions. Huge drinks selection too!

We found this pub/restaurant thru trip advisor whilst looking for a stop off place on the way to our holiday destination from the Midlands. It did not disappoint :) I had the fish & chips with the lightest batter I've ever tasted my husband had the tasty thick cut ham ham both served with fabulous thick chips. The staff were... More

I booked for a romantic meal for two and was not disappointed. Spacious car parking facilities followed by a friendly greeting by Mark at the bar. We sat in the very comfortable and informal atmosphere and were surprised to receive some delicious canapes. We were then taken to our table. The food was delicious regional and well presented. Well done... More

We recently stayed at the Tytherleigh Arms and couldn't fault it. We had a fantastic meal in the restaurant and the customer service and hospitality were first class. The menu choice was great and the food cooked to perfection. We certainly weren't expecting the high level of cuisine that we were presented with. The staff were extremely knowledgeable about the... A return visit because of the wow factor on previous visits! The whole experience apart from the food is for me just right...welcoming, relaxing, soothing decor and 'ambiance'. Thankfully too, no loud music to interrupt conversations. I love the blend of rustic, simple with complex and creative menus. 6 of us dined with great comfort and satisfaction. Good chairs for... Easy to find, cosy dining area, mouth-watering menu, offering a nice balance of traditional pub favourites like steak and kidney pie, beer battered fish and chips, and somewhat more adventurous fare like game and hogget. Service was good and the cooking was top-notch. I enjoyed sampling the local brews to wash down my scallops.

We had a great experience here on a Saturday in early March. Service was excellent and well thought out with all staff being well trained. We arrived early and sat at the bar having a drink. In good time we were given a menu, our order taken and canapes served. The food was very tasty and plentiful. The only minor... More

I've driven past this place plenty of times and thought that looks nice. We'll at the beginning of February we were passing with some friends and decided to drop in for Sunday lunch, we struggled to get a table as they were do busy but we were quizzed in down by the fire. We all had the Sunday lunch of... More

On the basis of such good reviews we booked lunch for four yesterday. Suffice to say we had a wonderful lunch. The menu choices were varied and suited all tastes. I had a starter of mussels in an onion broth with home baked bread - delicious. As I had had fish the previous day I opted for the house burger... More
