An impeccable gastro pub

This isn't a review of a single visit as I have been more times than I can count! Always outstanding service and a perfect atmosphere. Without doubt the best food in miles, trust the locals, like me!

Rightly or wrongly i like to think I know a bit about food and wine and so many establishments fail to impress. Not the Tytherleigh Arms!! Absolutely fantastic from the amuse bouche through to desert I cannot recommend the quality and the staff highly enough. Will certainly be back before long.

We visited for an early lunch just before midday and were made most welcome. The choice for lunch included a full menu and and light meals We ordered ham and cheese sandwich one on toasted ciabatta and one on granary bread. Served with French fries and coleslaw Tasted delicious and was clearly freshly made. Unlike some sandwiches one can buy... More

I would advise booking, we dropped in on spec, on a Friday evening, unfortunately they were fully booked, we stayed for a drink & booked for the next night which was my husbands birthday. On both evenings we were made very welcome, the food was very good, including complimentary tasters...which were unexpected, very different , but delicious. The atmosphere was... More

We rang to reserve a table on a Sunday evening and were told they were full at 7 but could do one for 7.30. When we arrived we were only the second table in use in the restaurant. A third table arrived half an hour later. The service was very slow and not very efficient. The sample soup was very... More

I visited for lunch on 6th July with a boisterous party of 13 bellringers, having booked a table. The pub is light, airy and tidy, and we had a lovely welcome from the young staff who were obviously very well trained. Our table was laid up in readiness, and the food prepared without delay after we ordered, and was of... More

Turned up without booking on a Friday night and managed to squeeze the two of us in with only a 40 minute wait. Took orders prior to the table being available in a very efficient professional manner. When seated food arrived promptly. Portion sizes were quite large but we both thoroughtly enjoyed both our starters and main meals. Food was... More

We have eaten but recently stayed overnight. The service and food are both superb. The accommodation is immaculate with great attention to those details which differentiate it from the average. I strongly recommend is and will return.

We stopped by on our way back to Wiltshire for lunch after reading the reviews. The menu was quite limited and expensive for what we thought was a pub. I had the ham, egg and chips which was ok, my wife had the fish pie which was very good indeed. We selected the semi frozen toffee, banana dessert which I... More

I've been here a couple of times over the last year and it's always been amazing. The pub/restaurant is gorgeous, I've always been delighted with the amazing food and the great, well priced wine list and beer. The staff were really helpful, a fab evening once again, can't rate this place high enough.
