We were camped just a mile from this pub that had been well reviewed. We can see why. As advised by others we had made a reservation (Saturday night) which was the a good decision - it was busy. The welcome and service was excellent. There was a good choice of food and there were a few real ales on... More

It may only just be the end of the season, but, it is still very very difficult to get in. It took my friend and I three attempts to get in for a meal. Finally, friday came and we gathered for blanchbait, gammon and eggs, steak and veg. We sat replete and then the words raspberry palova, turned to the... More

Another Sunday roast at Hunters Lodge. Once again a fabulous meal. Generous portions, beautifully cooked & delicious gravy - can't get enough of it. Puds are fab too. Difficult to leave room for one but it would be rude not to!!! We'll be back for sure as parents live local to Hunters Lodge so we try to eat there if... More

Stopped on our way to Cornwall for lunch. The pub accepted dogs and we have 2. The menu was extensive but the food delicious - large portions and the service excellent. We had a combination of sandwiches, soup and ploughman's. all homemade and greatly enjoyed. A little pricey but they have a prime position, good parking and facilities. What really... More

On holiday in the area for a week it was the only place that we felt worth visiting twice having previously visited on a long weekend. The surroundings are fine with enough room betweeen tables to feel comfortable. The first time we'd forgotten how generous the portions are. Starters were double the whitebait that most places serve and a tasty... More

I have visited this establishment on a number of occasions during the past few years and each time the quality of food and level of service is always excellent. Since buying a home in Lyme 5 years ago, my partner and I have tried a number of the local restaurants and pubs, but in terms of quality of food, menu... More
