In the area and decided to have our evening meal there. Plenty of choices on specials board and menu at reasonable prices and well kept Otter Best Bitter. Our meals were very enjoyable in a relaxed atmosphere. Most enjoyable with efficient staff behind the bar and serving food. Only note of caution, if approaching from the east, the car park... More

Having stayed in the area for a week, this is by far the best hostelry we have found The waiting staff were excellent, the food was well presented and superbly cooked. The bar is a bit modern in style, as opposed to the olde worlde style locally. But it has a good selection of menu items, a warm atmosphere .... More

We live locally to The Hunters Lodge, and it is a favoured spot for us. The food is consistently good, well presented, and plentiful. Excellent value for money, and good service, with a smile. Whether casual meal, or special occasion, they can cater for you.

An unplanned stop at Hunters Lodge for Mothers Day lunch. Arrived just as service was about to finish for lunch period but we were welcomed by very friendly and helpful staff. Food was fabulous; freshly cooked, delicious and generous portions. Atmosphere was very modern, warm and welcoming. A delightful find which made my Mothers Day!

We visited last week whilst on our holidays and had a delightful lunch. The food is homemade, fresh and tasty. And generous portions. The service was first class even though the pub was fairly busy. Looking forward to our next visit when in the area.
