We were looking for home cooked food with gluten free options while on holiday in nearby Charmouth and popped into the Hunters Lodge for lunch. The staff were friendly and our meals were lovely, the New York chicken was delicious. Would definitely go back when in the area again.

This is a place I have probably been visiting all of my life as have family in the area. The present owners (12 years and counting) really seem to keep the place alive and this time I was really surprised how busy it was for a Thursday lunchtime. The new decor of much better as well as really lightens the... More

We were staying within walking distance of this pub for 2 nights, we booked for the 1st night and were so impressed we went on the 2nd night too. Food is good value especially the fish. Puddings were great, especially the cheesecake on a flapjack base.Usually local pubs can feel a little unfriendly when you go in but this pub... More

We had to book due to the popularity of this restaurant, but it was well worth it. The food was freshly cooked and very tasty. Our 2 year old toddler was made very welcome with his own plastic plate, colouring in picture and a toy train. He even was given a little tub of ice cream even though he just... More

Popular pub - fully booked every night we were in the area. Had dinner. Everything fresh and well cooked. Generous portions and pretty good value. Nicely decorated and very friendly service.
