Can't get enough!

I've been going to Route 66 with friends and family for years now and the owners and staff have always been pleasant to say the least. The staff are thorough and attentive. The food is to die for! I'm a burger fan and this is the place to beat for me, they have set my standards very high. The... read more

Had an awful lunch today. The menu needed a good clean as did the sticky table. There were squares of kitchen role as napkins and they charged £1.79 for a jug of tap water which as it is licensed by law should be offered free. The food was pretty basic and although edible, just, would definitely not go back. Considering... More

I come from California and have been here now for 15 years. I was delighted to find this little gem practically on my doorstep. The food is outstanding. If you want an American breakfast, this is the closest you can get using english ingredients. The cafe is decorated with zany American memorabilia (lots from the southern usa as the owner... More

My wife and I were passing through after completing some business and decided to stop off for lunch. We were warmly welcomed but a really friendly American lady who sat us down and brought our drinks whilst we tried to make up our minds what to eat as the menu was huge. We both had the nibbles to start which... More

We went to route66 tonight as an early birthday dinner with family. Normally we struggle to find somewhere that is able to cater for all of our various dietary needs but once again they surpassed themselves. The steak was cooked to perfection, the presidential burger was delicious, the jambalaya was beautiful, as for me, the amish burger was absolutely amazing!... More

Visited for dinner on a Wednesday evening at 1830. Food was quite good, opted for the burgers. Mustard selection was lovely (recommend the jalapeño one) milkshakes are gorgeous! Made with ice cream! And, if the kids are good and eat their food they may even get serenaded by the singing deer! Found it a little over priced, but the atmosphere... More

I have been a couple of times to have lunch. The food is very tasty and with a good price. They have also a big list of milkshakes that you can eat in or take away. The staff and the atmosphere are very nice at the restaurant. I am sure that if I go again to Axminster I´ll visit them... More

Fantastic and friendly staff and amazing food! The lady that runs the restaurant was very attentive and a huge hit with the kids - especially when she introduced them to Buck the singing deer! Would highly recommend a visit. The food was delicious and the prices reasonable. A lovely meal out 😊
