A roast dinner, a pint and change from a tenner - well worth it !

We tried The Elms for Sunday lunch. The place was busy but had a relaxed atmosphere. As ever with Wetherspoons, there was a good range of beers at lowish prices and the Sunday Club menu was great value. The food was surprisingly good given the low price. A roast dinner, a pint and change... read more

Decided to go to The Elms with some of my friends, and had a fantastic breakfast at a surprisingly low price. I would most certainly recommend coming here again, and intend on doing so in the near future.

Went with a mate for dinner, and the food was great, and cost me £4.30 with a drink. Came for breakfast the next morning and it was only £4 for a damn good breakfast. The staff were nice, and I'd happily come back.

Regularly visit here as our local but weekend staff really don't seem up to the standard of weekday staff. Ten minutes I waited at the bar and didn't get served. Any good bar staff know who is next and shouldn't need to ask. After having someone jump in front of me once when asked who was next, I pointed it... More

best thing about the elms is its history. find details inside. second best thing once found twenty quid outside early one sunday morning. avoid Friday sat nights. young crowd drinking pints and talking football. sometimes shouting obscene comments, like Chelsea Chelsea. one nil to the Chelsea. great for a cheeky pint whikle waiting for a cooks coach to brighton. splendid.

For a whetherspoons pub it's pretty good. You know what you get with these places normally, cheap drinks, rowdy crowds quick food. We were here on a sunny Sunday and it was busy, but as the place is so huge, it didn't feel rammed at all and we quickly found a place to eat. All the staff were very friendly... More

It's now my Local, visited a few times with friends, family and solo. Food is Wetherspoons chain menu, and good value (except Fish and Chips, and that was due to location and having an array of Fish and Chip premises locally). Good selection of drinks, beers, and cocktails (great for sharing pitchers in the Summer Garden).Staff and management friendly, with... More
