Bad Spicey Potatoes

Hi, Ate there last week. Amazing location, good service. Only let down was the 'spicey potatoes' served as the first dish of menu del dia. We expected something like patatas bravas. No chance. We got oily chips covered in a sweet ketchup. What a shame. The lucky ones who ordered fish soup were... read more

I went for lunch as a guest, we had the meal of the day, which apart from the salad was very poor. I can eat but this menu variable was not for me,plus the fish had an odd taste. Odd taste indeed as I became very ill later with food poisoning ,I contacted my host who was also in the throws... More

We visit this restaurant often when in Isla plana. The food is excellent if eating, €12 for lunch and if you don't feel like eating it is an excellent place to sit an enjoy the scenery with a drink or coffee. Downside; you are a long walk or a short drive away from Isla Plana.

My wife and I were recommended this place and what a delight. Its location is superb overlooking Mediterranean Sea. We had the menu of the day for 12 Euros which was perfect starter salad, simple but tasty, followed by large plateful of marinated fish for me and cream vegetable soup for my wife. I followed this with lovely fish stew... More

Had lunch with friends with great food and a superb setting. So good the wife wanted me to keep this restaurant a secret! Couldn't give it better praise, but don't be in a hurry because you'll want to savour the views and be sure to book.

Visited this place for the first time recently and was very impressed. Good service, wide choice of menu, and great views onto Azohia harbour. Would certainly go back.

We keep going to the Antipodas Tavern, as we never get disappointed! We had the menu of the day (12€) whilst we looked over la Azohia . The salad is always superb with a lovely dressing with honey and Modena vinegar tones. The earthy lentils was a comforting dish, followed by chopitos (baby squid.. so tasty) and "Pan de Calatrava"... We have visited many times over the years for drinks only and of course to admire the wonderful view of the Bay of Mazarron, which is second to none. On this occasion we chose the menu del dia priced at €12 which at first glance appeared a little restrictive on choice, however the salad, starter, main course and postre were... More
